My husband and I visited The Ginger Man last night. We loved it! Both of us are craft beer drinkers, and there were plenty of beers to choose from. The atmosphere is very cool and laid back. It wasn't too loud nor too crowded. The bar tender was super helpful and checked on us often. Thanks for a good date night location! We had a blast.

We always come here everytime we party and drink in downtown Austin. The place have tons of local tap beers and beers from around the world.

There's no place like beer, there's no place like beer. And it is much cleaner here than some of their other locations. Nice happy hour specials. Good selection on tap. The bartenders are great with helping you find a beer to enjoy. Sample and ask for recommendations.

During my hunt for 512's "Pecan Porter," an Austin resident informed me of a place that that has over 75 beers on tap. Eureka!
Not only did they have the beer in which I was searching, but they had plenty of beers in the same category, and much, much more. The wall of taps is actually pretty insane.
The bar is on the small side, but when I went in on a Sunday night, it was not crowded, so the vibe was home-like and cozy, and I was very comfortable.
The bartender knew his stuff, and was happy to recommend beers that would cater to my palette, and did so with success. The prices were great too.
The only thing that would take this bar to the next level, is if they implemented a better quality menu of sorts. I was pretty hungry when I went in, and even moreso after a got a few brews in my belly. The pizza slice I ordered just didn't do it for me. It would have been awesome to get some sort of hearty sandwich or something more fulfilling.
Regardless, the bar and beers are great, so if a bigger kitchen is not a possibility with their venue/layout/license/whatever, I will still be back.

This is my favorite bar in Austin. It's very comfortable with a great music selection and great service. The staff is knowledgeable about all the drafts. There are always seasonal and limited-supply brews to keep it interesting. Occasionally there are special events, such as the Valentine's Day chocolate and beer tasting, and music. I highly recommend it ... if you like beer.

I haven't lived in Austin long, but this is by far my favorite bar in town. They have so many beer choices, and they let you sample any you are not sure about before you order. The outdoor patio is great too! I love this place!

Ridiculous beer selection on tap with a very comfortable atmosphere. It can get crowded, but that's what happens when you have an awesome place where everyone wants to be. Was going to give 4 stars because it's hard to find a table sometimes, but then I realized that's the sign of a good bar! Highly recommended.
