Due Forni Austin

Edit 2016-07-02: Pizza is still the best in Austin, if not everywhere. --------------------------- Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. Excellent food. Sitting on the second floor watching the kitchen, shows how great the staff is trained and how much they care about serving good food. As for the food. Amazing. At first glance I was a little put off by the strange flavors. But the Due Forni pizza with pepperoni added (not on the menu, but you can ask for it) was awesome! The pizza crust alone was great, all by itself. This is a must try for anyone who like fine dining or pizza.

Due Forni = two ovens.. one cooks super hot for thin crust Roman-style Pizza. The other is for thicker crust pan style Neapolitan pizza. But regardless of whether you order pizza, pasta or other distinctly Italian dishes, you just can't go wrong! Inventive flavors and genuinely fresh ingredients and spices . Oh, and did I mention the cocktail menu is amazing!

Went her for my mother's birthday. Made reservation and table was ready when we arrived. We ordered drinks and apps but were severely rushed into ordering our main course. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The waiting soon brought us the check after we finished and didn't even ask if we wanted desert with tab in hand. We asked to see a menu which he quickly brought over. 4 stars for the food. 2 for service.

Delicious. Great service. Really cool atmosphere. This is a must for visiting Austin. I didn't catch the bartender's name, but he did wonderfully. We said we were from out of town and trying all sorts of things. The bartender asked the manager if we could get a pair of free drinks since we were visiting Austin for the first time. He obliged. Made me feel very welcome. The bartender also gave me the low down on local places to attend that weren't on the tourist lists.

Different but in a good way. Pizza is flash baked in either 500 degree or 900 degree ovens. They also project spaghetti western movies high up on the wall. Try the prosciutto with balsamic pizza, it's good. Caesar salad is flavorful, and drinks all look interesting. Will definitely be back to try the steaks and seafood..

My first time here was for brunch. They have their full menu plus an additional few items for brunch. Specials on the mimosas and Bloody Mary's. For an appetizer we had the creamy mozzarella with pesto basil. The bread was made in house and it was delicious. I really liked the mozzarella. For our brunch, we had a pizza that was on their brunch menu. The crust was well cooked and pizza was flavorful. Not my favorite pizza in Austin, but it had a fried egg on it so makes everything better! Street parking and very chic interior. I'd come back to try dinner during the week.
