Casey's New Orleans Snowballs

The best snowcones in all of Austin! I’m a collector of high quality spots and Casey’s is the only place to get a snowcone. The ice is like super fine snow. It’s soft and pillowy and holds the syrups amazingly well. The flavors are amazing and you can get ice cream or toppings if that’s your jam. Personal fave: cherry and pickle stuffed with pickles. Sounds weird but you’ll thank me later.

Best customer service and delicious snocones and Dole soft serve. Dole Pineapple 🍍 and Raspberry are top tier. I love their special flavors the best. Also they have sweetened condensed milk as a topper and sour shots. I love everything sour so it makes me giddy. Sweetened condensed milk on snocones is so delicious and reminds me of my childhood in Panama. Come check it out. Also they are trying their best to be Green (recycling, materials like cups and spoons, using metal straws, compostable ) and only use real sugar in house made syrups.

We have been looking for a real Louisiana snow cones and I’m so excited we finally did!! These snow cones are exactly what I expect when I go back to Louisiana to visit. The soft, shaved ice is perfectly fluffy and not crunchy as if chewing ice chips. The syrup sticks to the ice the way it should instead of just running to the bottom of the cup leaving slightly tinted ice chips behind. Having the perfect balance of shaved ice and great syrups make every bite of the snow cone a wonderful and sweet melt in your mouth treat. Perfect for every day! We will definitely be back!

This is literally one of my favorite places in Austin! (I even had Casey's cater my wedding!) Whether you're local or just visiting you need to stop here. Their syrups are homemade with sugar and not corn syrup. All their flavors are good, but I highly recommend the dreamcicle, the grandma's nectar cream, or the mounds bar.

So sad to learn there's no longer a cafe au lait flavor. As a NOLA transplant 17 years ago, craving snowballs from home, flavors like that were what drew me here and brought me back so many times throughout the years. That said, these snowballs are still just as amazing, and they've got plenty of other creamy flavors that do the trick. My other favorite is half chocolate, half wedding cake, with condensed milk on top. So delicious!!! Glad this place is always busy and able to stay open!

New favorite snow cone spot. First of all, they have two employees working the front so the line moves fast. When you get to the window, they have all the flavors you know and love. The snow cone itself was delicious and somehow stayed “soft” the whole time I was enjoying it. Other snow cones can solidify into a block and I don’t know what kind of New Orleans voodoo they have going on over e here at Casey’s but I want more it!
