Loads of yummy menu items including Plancha-Crisped Blue Crab Cake with remoulade blanc, fennel slaw, herbs, house made aioli. These were heavily filled with fresh crab too. Also love the Deviled Eggs with drizzled Texas Hill Country Olive Oil and smoked paprika. I also loooved the Steak Tartare with 44 Farms Beef, green goddess dressing, salt cured egg yolk, pickled mustard seeds on rye bread. My fave drink is the "Waiting For Chinola" with Santa Teresa Claro Rum, Passion Fruit, Lemon, Becherovka, Lazy Day Lager, and Pomegranates! Academia really raises the level with bar food and cocktails.

We visited this place from recommendation from a friend. We were here for a happy hour due to our friend leaving for his wedding. They had a great selection of drinks with many food items to choose from as well. We ended up just getting the cauliflower wings which were seasoned perfectly. There was another large party there but our waitress was attentive.

Very kind and accommodating staff who are genuine in their conversation with you, an amazing place since it's not a quintecential club but more of a lounge while still feeling like you're going out. Beautiful interior and a solid bar selection for people. Overall I think I'll be by whenever I'm in the area

Came here with my fiance for happy hour (which goes until 8 PM on weekdays!). Got the sazerac and le bonne vie, and she got the paloma. All drinks were excellent. Steve and Ruby were our bartenders and were excellent. Both took time to explain our drinks and walk us through the menu. They use liquid nitrogen in a few cocktails, which is a unique twist and fun to see! It's hard to find really well done innovative cocktails in the west district, and this place doesn't disappoint. We'll certainly be coming back soon.
