Julie's Noodles

Julie’s Noodles serves authentic and delicious food. I’ve gone back numerous times for the spicy beef noodles - the meat is tender, noodles clearly handmade, and broth fragrant with Sichuan peppercorn. Today, I also got the pork soup dumplings and regret not trying these before. Easily the best soup dumplings I’ve had. These come filled with broth, and the wonderful concoctions melts in your mouth. One of my favorite spots in Austin and soon to be yours.

This is a very popular spot! I liked every dish I've tried. Even if it's hot outside, the noodles are still worth getting just for how tasty they are. Got soup dumplings, steamed buns, 2 noodle soup dishes, and the "burrito". The spicy beef soup was tasty but a bit too oily and numbing for me. Otherwise everything was worth it and the prices are very pretty reasonable. Finding a table when it's busy was kind of a struggle, sometimes you have to stand around waiting for one to free up. You buy the food from the register and seat yourself. First come, first serve seats.

Braised beef noodle soup 4.5/5 - best noodles ive had in austin hands down. The broth is a little light, though. Meat is good and plentiful, but i think i like cocos (2 doors down) meat better Pork soup dumplings 5/5 - delicious Green onion pie 4.5/5 - if you follow me, you know i prefer thicker/fluffier green onion pies but these are still good! Very much enjoyed my meal and will be back to try more noodles 🍜

Very authentic, I really loved the cucumber salad so simple and perfect match with their chili oil. Also ordered the spicy beef which wasn’t too spicy but it did have the Szechuan flavor spice where it numbs your tongue, the noodles were so fresh, soft and chewy, made to perfection. Also have the chicken chow mein which was flavorful and the chicken was nice and tender. I will definitely be going back to try the dumplings next time.

More authentic than I had expected. The noodle soup was very good. I had rice noodles that were not over cooked. good flavors but be careful if you are salt restricted. Soup dumplings were a bit salty this visit, but filled with delightful soup as hoped. Served with the black vinegar and ginger dipping sauce. If you are adventurous, they offer a pig ear and a black wood ear appetizer. We will come back to try more dishes

Julie’s Noodles is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Austin. It is authentic, local and the noodles are made from scratch. Everything here is absolutely delicious and I’m sure you could blindly try anything on the menu and it would be delicious. However, we love getting the mixed dumpling order and the combination fried rice - I love a good combination fried rice. Also, get some scallion pancakes!! Try Julie’s Noodles, you will for sure not be let down at all!

The soup dumplings were alright. The dumpling skin is quite thick and sometimes they don’t contain any soup at all. The noodles always seem to have romaine lettuce in them, which is not authentic at all. Also, remember to count your dumplings! On one occasion, they served 11 dumplings instead of 12. I had to wait in line to let them know and was served with one overcooked dumpling. Nevertheless, you can’t beat the price at Julie’s. It is self service (order at counter and grab utensils & water), which can become quite tricky during peak hours and the weekend. You’ll see people lining up at the counter, yet there aren’t any empty tables. Just for reference, there’s about 9 tables that seats two, 12 that seats four and 1 that seats seven.

I recently dined at an amazing authentic Chinese restaurant, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance transported me to the heart of China. The menu boasted a wide array of traditional dishes, bursting with vibrant flavors and expertly crafted using authentic ingredients. Every bite was a delightful journey through the rich culinary heritage of China. The attentive and knowledgeable staff added to the overall experience, providing excellent service and helpful recommendations. Whether it was the delicate dumplings, or the aromatic stir-fried noodles, each dish showcased the culinary mastery of the chefs. The attention to detail, impeccable flavors, and genuine dedication to preserving the essence of Chinese cuisine make this restaurant a true gem. I can't wait to return and savor more of their exquisite offerings.
