Truly excellent and authentic tasting food. They never miss a beat. What makes this so restaurant special is the kind, polite and super hospitable staff. They treat you like family here, as if you're a guest in their own home. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone, you wont be disappointed. Always a pleasure!

If you’re in north Austin on a cold day or simply want something delicious, hit up Rice Bowl. Get the Dumpling Soup!!! We prefer non spicy (it still has a bit of a kick). This dish is killer. We also get extra crispies and will try other items off the menu but the Dumpling Soup is the winner. We usually get to go but the restaurant is nice enough and easy to find.

Rice Bowl Cafe blew my expectations out of the water!! They had great dishes, great portions and great prices. I haven’t been able to purchase this much food for this price since before the pandemic. The taste was amazing too! I ordered the walnut shrimp, green beans, and she li hon pork noodle soup. The shrimp were massive and super fresh and tasty. The green beans were smoky and delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the soup was a rich umami. The lady who served us was wonderful as well. I cannot rate this place highly enough. 10/10 would come again.

We like the 3 cup chicken and salt/pepper seafood. The staffs are really friendly and overall experience is excellent.

Nice and clean. Two of front older waitresses are super friendly. Food absolutely delicious. Highly recommended beef wrap that is what I always have. Highly recommended place.

The food here is always delicious. I've never had a bad experience in my entire time ordering from here. Great portions, you can get 3-4 meals out of one, and that makes the price worth it! Great food, great service, amazing chefs. One of my favorite items are their potstickers steamed. I can't get enough of them. I definitely recommend this place if you're craving Chinese food.

Looks like I review Rice Bowl Cafe every 3 years! Not much has changed since my last review. Tried a whole bunch of other items and all have been good. I really would rate RBC as top tier for the Austin area. All foods are really fresh and you can tell they use good ingredients.
The 3 cup chicken is truly special. This General Tso's chicken is better than all the other generals chicken. The soups are good. The chicken with garlic sauce has Szechuan peppers which will numb your mouth. Mongolian beef from here is one of my favorites. Good Fried rice and orders come with fried wonton strips, even when the food is delivered. The portions are good too!

Prices match the volume and quality of food. Everything was absolutely delicious and more than we could finish.
Service was fantastic. The ladies working were kind and quick to take care of us.
The food did take a little bit to come out but it tasted like they had just cooked it fresh so no complaints about that.

Truly authentic Taiwanese food... order the dry Szechuan Beef for a spicy kick! Service is friendly and fast.

3 years later and the selection, freshness, and incredible cooking just keep on going.
Tonight we had the crab Rangoon, three cups squid, and the Hunan beef, cooked perfectly. We keep coming back because the food is just that good.
