Romano's Macaroni Grill

We came to dine late afternoon when there was no one except the three of us and another lone diner. I noticed some of their wines were French and many of their products and ingredients were Italian. Our server was a young lady who did her best but accidentally she spilled some water on our menus which leaked to my trousers. I did notice that she’s made an effort to clean up. I did notice that our server dashed some Parmesan on a seafood pasta which is probably how some people want it,

The servers were okay, not super friendly and my food was room temperature at best. The spaghetti was a little dry, food took quite a long time to come out even though it wasn't very busy and the appetizers came out one at a time with large spaces in between. Also, we went for the Christmas dinner menu and they stopped the offer halfway through the day so we couldn't get it. Three stars might even be generous for this experience but the place looks really nice and we had fun anyway because it was our Christmas time together.

I love this place and have been going for years. They are so accommodating and have delicious pasta! I always "build my own" and it's so yummy, I just always wish they gave me a little more! It always seems like you get less when you make your own vs. ordering something off the menu and I'm always finished first. But overall always a nice experience here :)

Worse Valentine's Day date experience EVER! We arrived at 8:10 pm for a 8:15 pm reservation. It took us 20 minutes, standing in line, just to check in for our 8:15 pm reservation. We were finally seated at 9 pm. We ordered and the waitress (who apparently was filling in from Round Rock) tried her best, but at 9:37 we were told our appetizer would be another 10 minutes. At that point, we decided to leave and went to la Madeleine just down the street. I shared our experience at Romano's with the la Madeleine staff and they comped us our dessert! I will probably never eat at Romano's again. Apparently, there are serious management issues at the Romano's Arboretum location. Unfortunately, I did not check the reviews before making the reservation. I used to eat at Romano's often when I lived in So. Cal. and never had a bad experience like tonight. As a matter of fact, I can't even remember the last time I walked out of a restaurant. I have a total of 39 years of marriage, between my late first wife and my current wife and NEVER had a Valentine's date experience like tonight (and I am one of those guys who never forgets Valentine's, anniversaries, or birthdays - don't like sleeping on the sofa ;-). Someone at Romano's corporate needs to clean house at the Romano's Arboretum location.

Horrible valentine weekend dinner. We were told there was 30 minutes wait. After being seated it took another 15 to get our server to acknowledge us and another 5-10 minutes for drinks. The kids entree came out late. Eggplant permesean was undercooked and bread was cold. They were clearly short on wait staff and chefs. Our server was nice but can't blame him for being overworked. I wish they could have told us they can't accommodate us or it will be quite slow service. I was actually looking forward to dessert but decided against it. I wanted to speak to the manager but I ran out of patience to wait for them . I will not return Romano Grill. They be out of business if they don't fix these issues. All of us Very disappointed!!

We made reservations at Macaroni Grill on Great Hills Trail today for Mother's Day. Unfortunately there really isn't anyting good we can say about our experience. The calamari appetizer was inedible. The spinach artichoke appetizer was cold even though the server said be careful the bowl is hot. 5 of 6 entrees were either sent back or of such poor quality as to not be consumed. Dishes from appetizers were not cleaned by the server before another server brought out the entrees. It took how many minutes for a manager to come over so we could voice our concerns. Our server than virtually left us alone after she served the appetizers so refills of drinks were very delayed. The person who described himself as quote one of the managers unquote told us that they had problems getting help. If you're having problems with help you might want to let the public know so we can choose to go somewhere else. This was for a Mother's Day celebration for one mother who was 88 1/2 years old and it was terribly utterly disappointing. I can honestly say I will never go back.

I wouldn't even give it ONE star but I had to to submit my feedback. Ordered Take Out food from this location from my phone. That worked fine. I ended up throwing most of the food away. The order was incorrect. The food was cold at best. I'd ordered pasta with shrimp and had more grilled chicken than anything else in my order. It was supposed to be fresh spinach on both orders - I am guessing there was a total of 4 leaves of spinach in each dish. The salads were even bad. When I walked in there were folks waiting to see anyone to be sat. No hostess I could find and had to look for my food by wandering around a mostly empty restaurant. There was standing water in the kitchen area that anyone could see. I will never darken these doors again. It's very sad.
