It’s a good place for a quick bite. It mostly has North Indian food. In terms of quantity, they can provide more rice as it is not enough for all the sides that come with it on the special meals. It is budget friendly as well! The Masala Chai (Tea) was not good and really needs to be fixed.. (not sure if it was a one off instance but it was bad) The restroom really needs regular maintenance.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little 'hole in the wall' South Indian cuisine place. Seems to be quite authentic. My husband is Indian, specifically from South India. He really loves the food from there.

The restaurant itself is very shabby, but don't let that deter you as the food here is amazing and you cannot beat the price especially for the quality! I will caution that the chole bhature is not actual "bhatura" but "poori" for some reason. Even still the chole is very good. Also the sambhar at this restaurant is one of the best I've ever had across the United States and in Delhi, India.

I enjoyed the meal here. The food does taste like home.. The place is not crowded most of the time so dining in is a safe option here for social distancing. I like their simple menu and polite staff. Only suggestion for them, is they serve the food extremely hot, which is not good for Togo orders as it may react to packaging materials.

Best Indian food ever! So delicious & not too spicy for lightweights like myself. We ordered the Daily Special -a delicious adventure on a platter & one of the Dosas. If you’ve never had a dosa before, you will enjoy something unlike anything you’ve seen before. Also, we were able order everything vegan. Items were clearly marked & easy to order through the iPad. We’ll definitely be back!

TL;DR: Excellent service with a wide menu and open when most other Indian restaurants are not though specific dishes can be improved. I usually consider service to be above food. You can feel free to stop reading if this is not how you like ratings. I do this because food is a lot easier to improve on than culture is. Service: We were looking for a place on Sunday afternoon and it's strange how most Indian places like to shut at 3 but not Chutney's Homestyle. Because most patrons may not be aware of this, we got the place to ourselves and the owner took such great care of us that it felt like a personal chef. They customized the dosa for how we liked it and made sure to warn us that the floor was wet for cleaning towards one side. Food: they have a lot of great variety and this is where I think it can be improved. My wife ordered a thali. They nailed the undhiyu (and we're Gujarati so we understand authentic undhiyu more than other Indian cuisine) but the chhole and other dishes were a little lacking, though those are easy improvements in the masala. I ordered a dosa which they customized by putting the masala on the side and only the chutney spread inside, which strangely other Udupi or Southern Indian cuisine places don't do. The dosa was crisp but I'd say the chutney was far spicier than it's supposed to be so it simply needs to be toned down (I enjoyed the hotness though). Ambience: Very roomy and and other restaurants should copy their song list. A good mix of late 2000's Bollywood songs mixed with similar genre US songs are so much better than just randomly ordered old Indian ones. The counter style food service allows me to see what's available also.
