Shangri-la

We went to check out this place, because we wanted to go to the speakeasy in back. Upon first entry, a man greeted us and asked us about our visit and then pointed out the amenities and told us how to get to the speakeasy. At first, it was a little awkward being greeted that suddenly, but it was kind of cool too. We went straight to the back and didn’t really investigate the front bar or the patio area because it was 300° outside. We went to the speakeasy where it was pretty crowded but plenty of seating available. The bartender got to us within a relatively quick amount of time given that he was the only bartender. He mixed a good Old-fashioned as well. The only thing that I would say is I wish the lights were a little more dim in the speakeasy. And there was a little more music playing. It didn’t quite fit the speakeasy vibe that we thought we were going to get. With that said, I had a good experience overall, and I would definitely recommend stopping there and checking it out. Another great dive bar where you can drink cheaper than most places in Austin. They have a Lone Star and a Makers shot for $9 and their Old Fashioneds are $8 which is half of most places in town. There are a bunch of other great specials there and signature cocktails. It was always crowded but never a problem getting drinks and the crowd turns over fast enough that you likely won't wait long to find a place to park it

I went here this past weekend, and it was my first time ever going to this place. I had saw it on a Instagram real where it showed that there was a hidden speakeasy “The Treasury” within this bar, so I messaged some friends asking them if they wanted to check it out. I was super impressed with the overall layout and how cool calm and collected this little hole in the wall was. I was really impressed with their cocktail drinks that they were serving and just the overall vibe of the place. It was super cute and such a clever idea to have this little hidden gem within the bar/restaurant. Look for the greenlight!
