Copper Restaurant

We are visiting from Colorado. We were told that Cooper's was very good so decided to give it a try. Glad we did cause the brisket and ribs were old school amazing. Haven't had BBQ like that in a long time. Pork ribs, beef ribs, and turkey were filled with flavor and not over powering. The coleslaw and potato salad were spot on. This on a Sunday with football and a cold one was the BEST! We will be coming back for more.

They have the meats. So, I'm going to preface the review by saying I'm from the Carolinas and it may be easy to impress me with TX BBQ. But the brisket here is excellent. The ribs were OK. The short rib looked amazing but I didn't see it when I was ordering meat. So I didn't get a chance to experience it. Bar staff is friendly. The drinks are reasonable, at least compared to where I'm from. I'm here in Austin for 5 days and I'm definitely going back. IG: cltfooddrinkguy

Yeahhh meat! Nice concept, stand in line, order the meat you want and pay per ounce. Choose sides and a drink. Add beans and jalapeno to taste. I had brisket ***** and one piece of beef rib ***. Beef rib was very fatty, not so nice. The decor is basic, barn style. Atmosphere nice, people eating together. Spent close to 50USD. Could not finish all.

One of the best smoked BBQ places I've been to, the atmosphere is really good. The variety of roasted meats is very diverse and serves all day long. It's not that expensive compared to other BBQ's, but because it's in the center, it has an additional local cost. The type of restaurant is Self Service. It's worth going there.

Hopped off my plane from Nashville and headed straight to Cooper's! They said they are known for their brisket and that didn't disappoint. Great texture, moisture and bark. This is the main event. I also purchased jalapeno cheddar sausage and green beans. These were not noteworthy and left me wishing I had doubled down on the brisket. Meals are served with complimentary white bread, bbq sauce, pinto beans and jalapeno peppers which I loved. Gave 4 out of 5 stars to Atmosphere due to the loud pop music they played. Would have loved if they had served up some local fare (red dirt maybe?).
