Cinnamons Bakery

Such an unexpected find! My husband and I wandered in here on his birthday because he loves cinnamon rolls and it's close to our house, but knew next to nothing else about the place. We were immediately greeted by a friendly French man who was joking with customers, and practically insisting on giving out free samples of his delicious baked goods. I was happily surprised to find that he had much more to offer than cinnamon rolls! The salted caramel macarons we had were unbelievably good! Perfect texture, and an explosion of intense delicious flavor in the middle. The cinnamon rolls were also fantastic. It's my new favorite bakery in town!

There is no doubt about the genuine French quality of the baking - the French Chef Loic clearly knows what he's doing. His French Macarons are AMAZING! For breakfast I usually enjoy his Pate on a Croissant. They are buttery, airy yet crisp and when you bite into it, it is clear that this experience is very different, very delicious.

One of the best kept secrets in North Austin. The French macarons made by Chef Loic, and the cakes made by Febe and Mari are fantastic. There's always a nice little surprise when you get to the store: a slice of triple chocolate ganache cake, a new flavor of macaron, Chef's chicken-liver pate, Febe's rolo cookies... just gotta keep showing up at least once a week to find what new project the chefs are working on.

I had been on a mission to try all the coffee places near my house - and I came across this one in the process. The owner Luic is a very sweet gentleman - and I can get my a 16oz latte there for 3.52 including tax - which is less than you pay for a tall at Starbucks. ^_^ I've never gotten to try their lunch (because it's generally when I'm at work) but their breakfast food is awesome - and not a bad price at all for being completely homemade. I can safely say I've found my new favorite place - I pretty much go here every day now =D
