The Indian tacos are especially delicious and have great texture and heat. Very friendly service and a great spot to just chill with friends and enjoy a different presentation of Indian street food.

I'm a regular at Madrasdhaba, the Indian food truck downtown, visiting around twice a week. The owner (still don't know his name!) is always super friendly, and we have some cool chats when I bike over.
Now, let's get to the food – it's a flavor explosion every single time. Seriously, it feels like a fresh adventure in my mouth on each visit. Whether it's their biryanis, creamy curries, or my absolute favorite, the Chicken Tikka tacos, it's always a taste bud celebration. But wait, there's more - recently, I discovered their Nana Bread Tacos, and they're a game changer!
Speaking of favorites, the Chicken Tikka tacos are where it's at for me. Juicy chicken, the perfect spice kick, all wrapped up in a tasty taco. And those Nana Bread Tacos? They're like a delicious twist that keeps me coming back for more.
Their menu is diverse, so whether you're into meat or veggies, there's something to make you smile. And the portions won't leave you hungry, plus the prices are wallet-friendly.
So, if you're in the mood for some top-notch Indian eats, those incredible Chicken Tikka tacos, or the mouthwatering Nana Bread Tacos, you gotta hit up Madrasdhaba. It's not just about the food; it's the laid-back vibes and the delicious bites that keep me hooked.

I ordered this from Uber Eats on a Saturday night. This place has the best biryani I have ever tasted. I prefer the ones I make at home, but this veg biryani beat mine out. I'm not sure what is the gravy they gave to accompany my biryani and paratha but it was so pure gold. I have a new favorite. Thank you for giving me this experience. ♡♡
Oh and their portions aren't skimpy. They are generous.

All I got was samosas and a mango lhassi, but they were really good and the staff was ultra friendly.

The best thing about Austin is the abundance of food trucks; they usually cater audience with fantastic food sans the decor that is usually associated with a sit down restaurant. The prices, for the most part, are relatively cheap and the quantity is plentiful. Madras Dhaba delivers on all these aspects.
Madras Dhaba, located on the 6th street, occupies a spot among many other food trucks in a rectangular parking structure-esque area. The menu is front and center and it’s quiet interesting. For starters, it has Indian Tacos, which I guess is very popular here. Unfortunately, we didn’t try those (I think this was a big miss from my side) instead, we opted for the tried and tested, chicken 65 and paneer tikka masala along with Paratha and Garlic naan. We got the food to-go, although they have tables there for you to enjoy the food right there. The paratha was a delight and the quantity was abundant. The paneer tikka masala though was on the sweeter side which was a bummer. Everything was piping hot and fresh and we enjoyed the food. They do food delivery via all the regular delivery services which is a plus for anyone who wants to enjoy food at their own comfort.
MadrasDhaba is an Indian food truck with a variety of options to choose from. It has both Vegetarian and meat options along with the usual drinks and deserts that you’d find in a typical Indian establishment. The twist about this place is the availability of Indian styled Tacos which is popular among the folks. This place is worth a try if you’re in the area.

Best Indian food in Austin. Anyone giving one star reviews doesn’t have a clue. Owner is super nice, food is perfect every time. Price is fair and value is there… food is filled to the top of the tub, large portion of rice. Unlike all the other so called Indian restaurants around town who charge $18 for a dish half full and a spoonful of rice. Won’t name those places. Do yourself a favor and go here instead you won’t be disappointed. Owner is actually from India so the food is actually authentic. Have to appreciate that in Austin with so many places trying to achieve the flavors this place does so easily.

Tried the Channa Masala Tacos and it blew my mind how good it was. The flavor, spice level, and paratha was a great combination together.

Go get your south Indian food fix here. The guys will teach you some Tamil cuss words while you wait. Worth the wait for great food.

I was not expecting this food to be this good from a food truck. Shows how much I know about Austin.
I stopped by this spot before heading back to El Paso with a group of friends. I ordered the somosa's, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The somosa's were the regular potato filled kind and was 2nd only to some I had in Singapore. The chicken tikka masala and basmati rice had a nice spice and incredibly tasty. Some of the best I've had in years. The garlic naan was probably the item that could have had the most improvement as it seemed like it wasn't made fresh but it still allowed for good taste.
Would definitely recommend this spot!
