I can say without a doubt I had no expectations for this place other than to not go shopping on an empty stomach. The ordering was simple and easy the Man was nice and professional. The presentation for your combo being brought out was classic.
The actual food made me think about how this place must of been very busy pre Covid. And deserves to have more traffic than it dose now.

Lots of choices for sandwiches (but only a few vegetarian options). The employee was very nice and the sandwiches were great. Inside the store there is lots of decor from New York.

Best sandwich shop in Austin hands down. Very attentive staff and very humble workplace. Highly recommend for anyone who's tired of mainstream areas. Definitely a 5/5 restaurant

Great sandwiches. I drive from north austin down here once a month just to come here. I just get a ham and cheese but it’s always fresh and never disappoints.

Reuben is the best. Husband gets a hot destroyer. No matter how much time between visits, owner always remembers our order.

Daily special is a great deal, $7 for sandwich, chips and drink. The bread is fantastic and they didn't scrimp on the meat. The Cuban is great but maybe not as good as in Miami.

It's not Ruth Chris's steakhouse. Furthermore, it's not Philadelphia, Cuba or NYC. So don't expect Genos or Pats if ur used to that kind of thing.
However, it IS a good all around sandwich shop. Yes, there is a microwave bc u actually get a fresh sandwich in minutes for under 8 bucks ....nothing boils in a pot all day.

Went in and was a little hesitant due to no one inside, but I was pleasantly surprised after starting to eat my sub.
I got the NY Spicy and it was delicious and only $7 for the medium size.

I work down the street of LGS, and have been going here regularly for nearly a year now. They've always been very consistence with the quality of the food, which is always delicious. And the owner takes the time to get to know and remember his customers!
