The owner guy is friendly and he has an inspirational outlook about business and life.
I got falafel mix here for a cheap price.
They got a great thing going here. This place exemplifies small business excellence. I hope to support this place more in the future.

My wife had been looking for some bulgar for quite some time in our local grocery stores with no luck whatsoever. We had to pickup some things at another location and thought “Why not stop by David’s on the way home.” When we first walked in we thought it a bit small but we’re soon surprised at the amount and variety of goods they stocked. She found the bulgar but so many different brands and styles to pick from. The same was true of so many other items. If you’re looking for Mediterranean food stuffs you won’t be disappointed here. Didn’t catch the name of the guy at the counter but definitely enjoyed talking with him.

best spot for gyros in town. Family run and friendly staff, this is the kinda places I love Austin for. Some items in the market are not priced, but you can easily ask the staff and they will tell you. All of the food is superb and on the rare occasion they do make a mistake they always go above and beyond to correct it. One of my favorite places to eat in Austin.

The food and customer service provided by Ahmad and Sam was amazing. Some of the friendliest people I’ve meet. This place has become a regular for me. They are soon getting Sangook bread that’ll be baked in house. Food and groceries are top notch.

Went in here because I heard they had great gyros. To my surprise, they had a bunch of great Mediterranean market items that I’ve never been able to find in town. Also, they bake some of the best bread I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. It’s called Sangak, a Persian bread. Their service was amazing. I could not be more pleased with my visit. Bonus, their Gyros are best in town. A must to place to visit.

Wow this was quite good. The meat was tender, the sauces quite tasty and not too much, and the pita was great too. Falafel is also very good and they're nice folks. I highly recommend this little place to anyone who wants to get their gyro on.

This is a really nice place that carries many things other Mediterranean stores don't. The store itself is very clean and well maintained, and the items are fresh and high quality. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful of all the Mediterranean shops I've been to in Austin. I definitely recommend Davod's.

Awesome food! It’s always wonderful and tasty, they use the best quality beef and chicken in Austin, I highly recommend Davod’s menu items. Also, they have a huge selection of persian and middle eastern grocery items, no need to drive to Phoenicia for anything anymore ☺️ thank you Davod’s 👏

Met my son there for lunch last week. Great choice. We each had a lamb/beef plate and shared some falafel. Sad face: we came too late for them to serve us Iraqi falafel; they've recently removed it from the menu. Great, targeted menu of the favorites, very friendly service and a well-stocked store all add up to a winner.

Food is excellent! This little "hole in the wall" may not look like much from the outside, and they do not have much of a dining room, but the food is fantastic. The guys working there are very nice and accommodating. It's a sort of Unduan grocery store/diner so you can purchase authentic Indian food and Mediterranean ingredients.
