This is a cafeteria in the downstairs of the state office building. No sign outside, just says "OPEN". However, it is open to the public and the food is really good. I have eaten here for years. There are daily specials, usually an entree, 2 vegetables/sides, and a bread. They also have burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. You can eat in 78701 downtown Austin for less than $10... and this is one of the few places you can do that.
