Hunan Chinese Restaurant

Went to pick it up and they people were so kind. I asked for duck sauce which they didn’t have but they gave me their homemade sweet and sour sauce. The hot and sour soup was great. No weird things floating in it. The general tso tofu was a lot more soggy than I’d like. Usually it’s fried and then has sauce on it but this just tasted baked. The fried rice was good. Prices were more reasonable that others.

This place is great! I started ordering to go from here a couple of months ago, and literally everything I’ve ordered has been so delicious! The service is great, I’m always greeted right away. My food is always hot, and it doesn’t take them long to prepare meals. I definitely recommend and will be returning!

I’ve only taken food to- go but either way the food is great and always piping hot and fresh. The service is ALWAYS great- every person Ive dealt with in person or over the phone is kind, efficient and thorough. They always get my order right and never forget the sauces/utensils, etc… Price is nice and the serving size is good too. I love this place and all of its employees.

Got some delivery from Hunan Lion. Everything was tasty...both soups were well-seasoned and had on-point flavors, the chicken wings were good(but probably even better if eaten via dine-in) and the beef/chicken egg rolls were awesome. Out of many places I have tried, Hunan Lion is the most consistent/good.

Excellent service. Food was savory, authentic, fresh. Pretty decent portions. Egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were rich and umami. The establishment itself was clean, the ambiance warm and inviting. Not only was our server fast and attentive, two other managers or maybe the owner(?) also checked on us. Definitely gonna come back again and try other items on the menu! Oh also! Extremely affordable. We ordered an appetizer and 3 lunch specials. Total came out to $37. Even with food inflation, it was impressive to say the least how affordable it was.

I don't order to-go very often as I like to dine-in when I can, but sometimes I'll find myself DoorDashing something in a pinch and one of the most popular spots on the app in Austin is Hunan Lion. Their most popular dish is the Sesame Chicken ($14) and for good reason: it's delicious! It's simple and gets the job done. It comes with rice and is a very filling meal when it's all said and done. What else is there to say? I had an amazing, quick experience and was highly satisfied. I give em a 4.5/5!
