Kfc

I went thru the drive thru tonight and David took my order unfortunately he didn't ask what side I wanted with my meal assuming I wanted fries, so I pull up to the window and asked if I could have mash potatoes instead so the girl said sure she rang it up and all, but unfortunately I still got fries 🍟. And they were cold too. Prove is on the receipt & picture of the fries. The girl at the window had excellent service and Famous Bowl was good!

The food and service is horrible. First time I went I ordered a pot pie fill-up and they forgot the cookie. This time the bucket of chicken is just straight horrendous. We ordered half original half extra crispy and the food looks like it was eaten and spit back out. On top of that it was literally just COLD, like you could tell it was microwaved and not even for long enough. The side were okay at least (if they remember to put it in the bag). Absolutely awful and not worth it.

Not only one, but two people argued from inside this triflin' KFC with me at the squawk box that KFC does not have a chicken box of 5 pieces of dark meat for $5. They insisted that I must have gotten that at Church's or somewhere else. Perhaps, they didn't notice that by ethnicity and 66 years of chicken-eatin' experience I am a chicken EXPERT! Just ask Fuzzy Zoeller... Now, after I drove 14 miles to the best KFC in Central Texas at the Wells Branch exit from the 35, (of course, the KFC at the 79 exit in Round Rock is in the race, too!)... So, after I drove for 24 minutes, I took pictures of the KFC and its sign clearly indicating that, not only can you get a $5 five piece box, but you can also get $10 ten piece and $14 fourteen piece buckets!!! Another instance where negative number ratings would come in very handy. Too harsh? Where's my likes at, Y'all? 😀

What could go wrong if I only ordered a bucket of 24 hot wings? That they don't know what hot wings are on the phone of the drive and that they suggest buffalo wings. I did not know what buffalo wings are, I answered maybe I don't know (maybe they call hot wings differently in Texas?), just hot wings. I repeated at least 5 times "just hot wings" during our conversation. And I didn't check and I should have eaten one of them to see that they are not hot wings. They served crusty wings with some kind of hot sauce, which totally displeased my wife, who happened to be sick and waiting for the only thing she could eat that day.

*EDIT* Changed to 1 star due to having to get a refund. I couldn't even eat the chicken because it was covered and dripping with oil. I asked for Nashville hot but it wasn't even spicy. Not to mention how small they were. My buddy got a 3 piece for the same amount I paid and got 3 times as much chicken. $10 for 3 tiny chicken strips and some runny mashed potatoes
