They have reasonable prices and a lot of variety of products from frozen to fresh produce. I was able to comfortably find ingredients to make japchae and chili oil. A few cons are: Parking can be scarce depending on when you go. Checking out can take a long time as well. And in my experience yesterday, the cashier I got seemed annoyed. It was kind of awkward, but hey... I'll still keep going back for the selection!

This place is delightful!
They have a huge array of both common and unique food and snacks.
I've only met the nicest, friendliest staff, whether the manager or the cashiers.
And the seafood manager does the most beautiful cuts. The sashimi is superb - not at all what I'd expect from a grocery store.
They also have some of the most delicate, fresh pastries in the cafe area. The boba tea is great, and I love the built-in restaurant!
There's also plenty of seating for you, your family, and friends.
The best part, everything is a great bargain. Top quality, affordable prices, and amazing staff.

The 2 boxes of water chestnuts I bought for $9 were ALL ROTTEN. Nobody washes water chestnuts before selling them. They washed them all then packed, so you couldn’t tell if there were yellow or moldy spots when they were still wet. Poor quality control or they did it on purpose to sell rotten produce?? Such a disgrace if it’s the latter.

Now that New Seafood is closed, I think 99 Ranch has the best, most authentic dim sum in Austin, for very decent prices. You won't ever feel ripped-off at 99 Ranch, and the ladies who serve the dim sum are always great!
It's also a very clean and modern Asian supermarket w/ great selection!

I was looking for chrysanthemum tea after my friend had some @ a Korean restaurant that they thought was amazing. Tried a Korean grocery, but they were out. Spotted the 99 Ranch store & thought what the heck? The first thing upon entering is you're hit w a strong fish smell, that hung thick in the air from the seafood market in the rear of the store. After wandering around I got my bearings due to signs being in english as well. I found the tea isle & with the help of polite Chinese woman (she stopped me from buying a blended tea). I also noticed that the store stocked a small selection of popular American brands on each isle, usually at the end of each isle. The store was bright & full of customers. I highly recommend 99 Ranch.

032822 The most depressing 99 Ranch Market that I've ever been to.
There was a female staff member who works in the meat section and she didn't wash her hands after using the restroom.
Then there were rotting produce throughout the store. So sad.

Got a delicious Assam milk tea with Boba pearls in the Bakery for 2.99 plus tax. This is a cold drink. Also purchased 6.5lbs of yummy interesting produce for $10.56. Also, the sharp eyed clever cashier picked out a past it's prime mandarin from my selection.

Decent mid-size Asian mart. They have everything from ready made Chinese barbecue, to seafood, to spices, to produce - did I mention pots and pans? This is a fairly small building so selection is just okay and it can get quite busy. If you want the "real deal", there's an H-Mart up in Round Rock with a full food court. Last time in I got Szechuan peppercorn, instant curry, pizza flavor chips for the wife, and rice cakes for tteokbokki. For many of the most popular (eastern-) Asian dishes, this is a one stop shop. I can find basically everything I need for common Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dishes.
