Had an amazing time here! Sorry to the DJ if I was rude (4/9/22), I was trying to get a song in before my plane left and I even lied to him about having a good voice ☺️😀
Great place, people, drinks, sounds! Hope to see y'all again! 🌟

*Updated review*
Visited for a third time (this time on a Thursday). The dj/kj was just lovely. Very kind and very patient. Just a really nice human. Went back a third time bc this place seems to have a monopoly on karaoke. It was pretty good this time. The other times sucked though.
Previous review: Absolute worst. I’ve been twice and both times were bad.
This time, I get in, download the app to put a song in, put the song in, wait for 45 mins, (politely) ask the DJ how long it might be, he looks on his screen (without breaking a smile or even a neutral face once) and only has a short scroll to get to my name, says it’ll be an hour and a half. Fair enough. Then I wait an hour and 25 mins and my name isn’t up on the tv at all. So, went to go check again. He now (after scrolling four times to get to my name) says that it’ll be 1.5-2 hours. I asked him how that could be and he just shrugged his shoulders. At the same time, an extremely rude woman who was standing next to him behind the DJ booth snapped at me.
I wasn’t drunk, I wasn’t rude, I had waited politely, and I was treated very poorly. Did like the bartender though.
I just wish there were more karaoke places in Austin so that we don’t have to deal with this kind of attitude when trying to just have a good time.
That was my second experience there, the first being just as bad. I very rarely leave bad reviews but I left this place feeling awful twice.

I have loved coming to this bar. The Bartenders have always been nice with me, and I (I believe) them; I have enjoyed singing karaoke, too. I started coming sometime last year. Yesterday, I was accused by one Bartender and the Manager of bringing outside alcohol into this business for consumption during a previous visit, as I usually drink ginger ale (I know, at a bar-- I'm a lightweight and ginger ale is a nice treat at the end of the night for me), and employees found the women's bathroom strewn with little bottles of liquor. I happened to also have one of those bottles of liquor as I received one from another customer the night in question, and I had a large black purse from my day's work. Now, the Staff and Management believed I was the one who supplied the liquor because I had this bottle of liquor, and that I must have supplied that same liquor to other female patrons via my large black purse. Have they considered that I also received liquor from the same source that the other women who drank those bottles received it from? Apparently not. Or, they do not accept this alternative explanation as a viable truth. I mentioned to the Manager that I have loved this establishment for its community, fun and of course, karaoke-- why would I bite the hand that feeds? Needless to say, the Manager held firm to her and her Employees' beliefs about my (supposed and incorrect) actions, and I am now banned from this establishment for supplying liquor for at least myself, and at most, other attendees. This is utterly ridiculous. One star. Also, the drinks are cheap-- it would be foolish of me to bring in outside liquor given the cost to buy a drink is low. I may as well pay for the drinks in full, especially since rent for this place must not be cheap, it being right on SoCo and next to the river. And, to bring in outside liquor and give it to other supposed patrons reeks of revenge, if not petty insult-- I have had no desire or need to do anything of that nature to this bar. They have been nothing but gracious and fun for me. If you do go there- don't get too attached: they may turn their backs on you and stab you in the gut in order to make themselves feel like they've actually solved a very real problem (at a customer's expense) while they're at it. Good luck.

Had a great time the first time I came, then the new karaoke dude decided to implement a rotation so it would have been 3 hours before I’d even sing! Never heard of that kind of rotation unless it a light night which is wasn’t, it was stupid honestly just came for a good time not to hear the same 20 singers for 3 irritating hours.

Bar guys were amazing. But the KJ was terrible. Had a queue of singers over an hour long, kept stopping the queue to sing himself. Absolute trash karaoke dj. Sound was terrible. Mics were super low bs music. Guy just had no idea.

The KJ on Friday doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I arrived at 9pm to put in for a song, and noticed a bunch of people were singing a lot. Then saw people who arrived after me getting their songs. When I asked for a time estimate at 1115pm, I was told that it would be another hour before I could sing. Meanwhile the same group of guys sang 3 times in about half an hour, so there doesn't seem to be much of a rotation. Sad.
