New Address! 2308 Hancock Dr. Austin, TX This is the last standing place I can find that makes proper beignets in Austin. They are FANTASTIC!!! If you've never had beignets, you owe it to yourself and your friends/family to make a trip to try them out. They are pretty large, so 3 should be plenty per person. I made the "mistake" of ordering a dozen for 2 people, but that just meant we had left overs to enjoy later. (note, they are best eaten immediately.)

Not only is the food great, but the owners, Vessy and Dimitri, are some of the loveliest people I think I've ever met. They are always smiling and I enjoy talking to them! Also, if you've only tried their beignets, you're missing out on some of the BEST SANDWICHES AROUND! Sugar Addict Bakery's sandwiches are topped with crisp, fresh veggies, chicken/pastrami, their scrumptious "spicy" yogurt sauce-- and sometimes even a fried egg! So, although Sugar Addict has yummy breakfast, dessert, and coffee items-- try a sandwich next time lunch rolls around!
