Oceanas Bistro

Went here for late Anniversary lunch with hubby while on vacation in Avon, North Carolina and we were definantely not disappointed. It was within walking distance from our rental about 8 minutes. Very nice cozy atmosphere loved the decor who doesn't like Mermaids. The service was excellent and the food came out fast. We started off with the Fried Mahi-Mahi appetizer (they accidentally gave us the Tuna appetizer which looked really good. If I really didn't want the Mahi Mahi we would have eaten it.) First time trying Mahi Mahi and it was really good breading was really light and the sauce was good. My hubby got the Fish and chips which is made from Cod. I loved how they made it look like fish sticks. I got the fried Oysters so delicious . I am glad we came here it was one of the places I wanted to go to while down here. Had to save some food for 2 of my boys who love seafood.

Got our first meal on the island this week here and as in the past it was delicious! The scallops were prepared to perfection! I like that I can come here and get a healthy meal where I enjoy the veggies almost as much as the seafood! Our food arrived fast and fresh! Another great stop on Hatteras Island.

This spot was one of the few open after Hurricane Idalia kept the town inside all day so we were grateful to get out & enjoy some cooking! The hostess was attentive, trying to seat as many patrons as possible & kept us all updated on any minor wait times. Once seated we were greeted by the lone server & she was attentive as well, kept us posted on what was 86’d. The food was good, my clam chowder needed some more flavor but the rest of the meal was tasty. The hostess and bus boy quickly flipped tables to keep the space clean & serve new guests which I appreciated. The hustle amongst everyone was lovely!
