Drove up the mountain and met Adam and saw the cabins and enjoyed a hamburger and a cup of chili. Both Delicious 😋. My hunny and I camped for 2 nights and enjoyed the scenery and getaway from the city. Had a lovely time, hopefully we'll be back soon to enjoy Crystal Lake Cafe again and stay in one of the cabins. 🐻🌲🐿️🏕️🔥📵🌌🌠

Beautiful day roads were free of any falling rocks or sand totally clear ! The ride to Crystal
Lake was great! Its well worth the trip . Had one of the best cheese burgers very good stuff! Its a great way to spend an afternoon exploring..

I didn’t eat anything here but I was surprised to see there is a cafe on the top of mountain .

I had a nice chat with the owner of the Crystal lake lodge...his name is Adam! He has Lived in this spot for 28 years! Knows everything about Hwy 39 and had old newspaper clippings from late '59 that shows the start of the project and further developments until opening in '64.

It’s amazing to have hot drink after whole day hiking on snow. It’s really helpful to warm your body. It’s also quite nice to enjoy the warm room here and get some warm drink and food. It’s a place you should go after you’re done with hike.

Lovely! Friendly customer service and the cabins prices are reasonable. When it snows is beautiful and best of all ,you don't have to drive all the way to big bear ! This a great place for a weekend get away or even mid week =) ! 11/9/20 SNOW TIME , AFTER BOBCAT FIRE , CRYSTAL LAKE CAFE IS OPEN !! MUST WEAR 😷 😀😀😀😁👍🥰
