Bacchus Hill Winery

The only thing that isn't great about the Bacchus Hill Winery is that they aren't open more often for lunch/dinner!! I've often driven up on a whim to find they are closed. The food is great, the atmosphere is brilliant and on a good day the view is a fantastic one right over Bacchus marsh. The pizza I have found always to be delicious, I think the base (from memory) is made from semolina, its thin and quite easy to eat. As with any pizza, they are pretty filling !! The pasta, breads and other dishes are made from local fresh ingredients and nobody I have taken to the restaurant has ever had a problem or didn't enjoy the food, wine and service!! This is a must visit if you are in the local Bacchus Marsh area.

I recently bought two bottles of your Semillon 2007.They are corked rather than having a screw on top and I just want to let you know that I broke a stainless steel corkscrew in half attempting to uncork the first bottle.This is ridiculous and due to that I will not be buying anymore of your wines.I dread how I will get the second bottle opened.
