Brookside Market And Deli

I just love the biscuits and gravy they serve here. I try to get by at least once a week. The biscuits are fluffy and tasty and the gravy is outstanding. I always add some scrambled eggs on top of it. I also have had their chili verde Mac and cheese, it is delicious along with a pastrami sandwich, it is outstanding! Inside the store they also have a Smith’s bakery which has delicious cookies.

Im not sure why they decide to put brand new people alone on a Sunday morning when they are clearly very busy. I waited for 30 min, (completely ignored the whole time) just to walk out cause the service and experience was so bad. The girl working behind the counter obviously was new because she went to heat up a biscuit and nearly started a fire in the microwave. The whole kitchen was smoked out and the biscuit was completely black. No offense, but it is hard to want to eat anywhere that has a staff that is unable to simply heat up a biscuit let alone try to make a meal for me. So sad because we used to love coming here but unfortunately the service and food just keeps getting worse and worse.

Very pleasurable experience. Very good omelet and biscuits n gravy for breakfast. I was impressed with the quality of the food and the superior service displayed by the employees. Thank you. Also the green hot salsa in the small plastic cups was great on the omelet. Yahoo! Cant wait for my next visit! 🤝

Personally this place is way too busy for breakfast but it does have delicious, fresh food. It was a little understaffed when I went there last (1 person cooking and taking orders simultaneously at 10am on a sunday morning seems off) but they work hard to maintain quality. Worth the wait as long as the place is staffed.
