Cubbies Chicago Style Pizza

Really big pizza restaurant. Not your typical pizza place because it is in an usual location but there is lots to see on the walls and games to play. There are also a lot of items to choose from on the menu. I thought it was neat that you could order thru the QR code on the table without having to order with the cashier. The original wings, cesar salad, spinach artichoke and the chicken alfredo pizza were really good!. I'd go back.

I am not a Chicago style pizza expert, I just like pizza, a lot. Very good pizza! Good sauce, great toppings, very good cheese. The taste is spot on for a nice gourmet pizza. A deep dish weighs about what 3 normal pizzas weigh. I have yet to make it past 2 pieces in a single meal. The delivery guys have been great, they are courteous when you call the store. I detour off I-5 to get one of their pies. Good for 4 meals.

I’m originally from Detroit so I wanted to get a deep dish today. First time I ordered from this restaurant. Upon going in its cherry clean, spacious and even has some games for the kids. But the deep dish I got was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The pepperoni seemed as if they weren’t even cooked. That fact alone made the pizza taste like a hot pocket. Sauce seemed like it was put on after they baked the pizza. I’ve had Chicago style pizza a few times and this wasn’t it.

I can’t believe I’m writing a negative review about my “go to pizza parlor “, but I have to. I was so disappointed by the pizza we ordered yesterday . My son actually ordered it and told me he ordered my fave, a Chicago style sausage and olive XL pizza.I waited an hour to receive a cold flat pizza, with pale hard crust that honestly tasted like the box 📦 it came in ( I would assume lol) for $45.00. My son said he ordered the Chicago deep dish style on line and he does not know why that’s not what I got. I LOVE YOUR DEEP CHICAGO PIZZAS, I was not even aware you had any other kind.Did you get a new chef or new management? I brag about Cubbies to anyone and everyone that mention they are looking for excellent pizza in Bakersfield. I have given top notch reviews in the past, because they were well deserved. This time my pizza just made me sad and I ended up microwaving left over spinach lasagna. I hope that you make it very clear that their are various pizza styles, with description, because like me, even after checking out on line, he really thought for $45 bucks, he was getting the very delicious Chicago deep dish pizza. Please make it very clear Cubbies and if it were my shop, I would DC the this cardboard crust ASAP.sorry guys.
