The Corner Bistro And Wine Bar

Chill date night with the Wife and we ended up at Corner Bistro.....Best decision of the day in my opinion. Hidden gem downtown near stadium. We got there early around 530 before the rush and had the place to ourselves. We were greeted by the Owner who sat us and made us feel welcome. Wanted to order the whole menu but started off with Bistro wings naked, and crab cake sliders. Wings were something special, cooked perfectly and the breading was light and crunchy and the seasoning was perfect. Crab cake sliders were very good as well. My wife had the Burger and fries and I had shrimp and grits for entree and both were very good as well. The wine selection was nice, I had a glass of the Cabernet and my wife had the Sangria which she said was so good. Was able to have good conversation and learn about the owner and the restaurant. Will definitely be back

My goodness! Have you ever ate food and want to give the owners and cook a hug? Well, The corner bistro and win bar is the spot where I wanted to do just that. To give you a quick understanding of what the food is like, my girl and I took one bite and looked at the cook and said “did you make this”?? He said yes and I responded “I love you man! Lol. We ordered the blackened salmon and grits, and Mac and cheese angus burger. One bite and It sends you to another dimension. The food touched my soul and left this dimension. I don’t know what kind of sauce he put on the grits and salmon, but amazing. Probably hands down best food I have eaten. Ivan, great service, great food, great price. Can’t wait to come back.

Just phenomenal. We’re visiting and it was between The Corner Wine Bar and another place. Hands down, so glad we chose The Corner. Bc….this food….was life changing!!!! After walking in to their quaint oasis, we were promptly greeted by Ivan, who gave us the run down on the menu with his recommendations. But honestly, you could have thrown a dart at the menu, chosen that entree, and you couldn’t have gone wrong. Again, phenomenal. For comparisons sake, I had dinner at a “high-class”, 5 star restaurant earlier this week. Just awful. I mean from the service to the food. If you have the opportunity to try The Corner Wine Bar, you won’t be disappointed.

We were lucky to get in an hour before closing and I’m so happy we did! The owner was so kind and the food came out in a timely manner. The Chicken and Waffles were the bomb!! Some of the best I’ve ever had. Same for the pasta. The raspberry iced tea was delicious as well. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!!

First, Ivan provided great service and really was looking after us. Very helpful and you can see his passion for the food had him all smiles. The Mac and Cheese with shrimp was great and enjoyed that the cheese was not overpowering and allowed the shrimp to be the hero. The salmon sandwich was great and really enjoyed the touch of bacon. The chicken and waffles really surprised me as the waffles had a sweet potato base and really stood out. Chicken wings had a nice crunch. Only suggestion would be to use chicken breasts or boneless strips with the same coating. We also had the daily soup which was a chicken and rice with a bit of Louisiana flavor with the sausage and spice which really made me happy. The only downside was the ambiance of the place as you can tell it needs a bit of refresh but don’t let it stop you from some great food and service.

Found this place on google maps by looking for near by restaurants. Wife and I called for a reservation. We showed up to a friendly welcome and our choice of seats. We ordered a bottle of wine, crab cake sandwich and blacked Salmon & Shrimp over Cajun pasta. This was the best meal I’ve had in recent memory. Ivan was phenomenal, he treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Will certainly come back here, I really want to try the wings. Highly recommend!!

There's nooo way I can live without this place! Saw it on IG & thought I'd try it. Pictures of their food on IG did this place no justice! I opted for carry out on a Friday evening, was greeted by the Chef ( I believe Owner) within two minutes who then took my order. Its a small & cozy atmosphere, parking is very limited due to permits. We were so satisfied with our entrees that I can't wait to try more! Our food took about 15 mins.. was hot, flavorful & made with FRESH ingredients!
