Very good food, very good service, nice but small restaurant. Prices pretty high, a couple couldn't possibly have a normal meal for under a hundred dollars.

Such a lovely spot in Hampden. The food and service were both excellent -- really delicious homemade pasta and tons of great vegetarian options. The sardinian wine on the menu is great too! We loved the malloreddus and culurgiones

My experience today (Saturday, 28Oct2023) was simply amazing!!! My daughter & I choose a different restaurant to try monthly. Daniela Restaurant was my daughter's choice & it was a VERY good one! Never judge a book by it's cover!! We ordered 3 entrees & chose this restaurant just to try it's risotto. We ordered the Chicken & risotto, the lasagna, the fish, the appetizer for mussels & the trio appetizer for fried calamari, fried anchovies & shrimp. Tasted so AMAZING with little breading! Our waitress tended to every request! I requested for a spicy sauce for my lasagna & she made it happen!! I also requested for our mussels to be in a butter cream sauce, rather a tomato base sauce. She made all that happen!!! My daughter & I were VERY satisfied & actually SHOCKED at the quality of the seafood we received! ...WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK! ...I don't recall my waitresses name, but she gave it to me. It begins with (KN). Every restaurant should have her there! I tipped her extra FOR SURE! I WILL BE BACK, to try something else, for SURE! 👍🏽💯

A delightful experience from attenyive but not intrusive service to interesting quaint setting wiyh the feeling you are guest in someone's house during a family party. Add very enjoyable food. Ossobuco was smaller than what we are used to but still delicious. Do try the Tiramisu! Worth visiting.

Antipasto, wine, and lasagnas were magnificent!! Service was excellent. The nutella dessert and strudel were very doughy and disappointing after the spectacular dinner. We’ll skip dessert next time. Lovely porch seating area but not built for larger people. Next time we’ll take our 6 foot selves inside. Restaurant was quiet though about half full outdoors. aIt was easy to converse on our Thursday night date. All in all a wonderful evening.

As a born and raised Italian NYer, I take my reviews of Italian restaurants incredibly seriously. I am not a professional food critic nor a Michelin star chef, but this is the food I grew up with and I have been surrounded by both world class famous restaurants and to-die for mom and pop shops for 30 years. That being said, I give this restaurant a fairly decent four star review. I will start by saying the service was excellent and the ambience was clean, simple, and not pretentious. For the food itself, the insalata caprese was not my preferred traditional longitudinal cuts of fresh tomato and mozzarella, but half cuts of cherry tomatoes and small cheese balls in an otherwise nice olive oil dressing. The focaccia for the table wasn't the best, but again, was alright. For the pastas, my table split the recommended traditional Sardinian culurgiones and fregula. The former was a pasta that was beautifully made in-house but was a bit too thick and undercooked for my taste with an otherwise delicious filling. The fregula was certainly unique (which was the point of me trying it, since I'm far more accustomed to Tuscan and other northern Italian culinary styles). All it needed was a little more salt and then it otherwise would have been a quite delightful and flavorful dish. For my entree, I will say the veal scallopini was unbelievable. The sauce was to die for and you could cut the veal with a fork (as you're supposed to be able to with this dish). The wine we selected was a local Sardinian white which was light and crisp...not as sharp or full of as much citrus as I like in a drier white, but everyone's palate is different and I will say it was very reasonably priced. For desert, the cappuccino tiramisu (although not as good as my mamma's ofc) was actually very soft, rich, and refreshing on a hot summer day. The waitress was also able to bring a shot of sambuca for our espressos for the table (which is the way it should be done in my humble opinion). So overall, 4 stars for this delightful small mom and pop shop. Would I drive the hour from DC to come here again? I'd honestly drive the 4hrs back to NY for definitively better Italian cuisine, BUT if I lived in Baltimore I'd certainly come back again once or twice. So overall, I commend you for delivering very decent and reasonably-priced Italian food in what is otherwise an entire DMV area deprived of good, reliable Italian eateries aside from a few places such as this! Brava Daniela!

Finally had the opportunity to dine here for lunch. Everything tasted fresh & homemade. Took a while to decide what to order because everything sounded good. Great wines & recommendations from our lovely waitress. Nicely done ambiance, lots of influence from Sardinia. We left happy!

A month ago, my wife and I discovered this gem, and it's quickly become our top choice for romantic evenings out. Specializing in genuine Sardinian cuisine, the restaurant delivers flavors that are simply extraordinary. As someone who requires gluten-free options, my wife was thrilled with their exceptional GF pasta—truly the best we've ever taste
