Village Square Cafe

I come regularly with friends, especially as outdoor seating enables me to observe COVID precautions easily. Food is always good and fresh, staff are friendly and happy to serve you. Specials vary the menu; we especially love the salmon. It's a quiet, tree-shaded location, and perfect for a great conversation anytime.

A friend and I have visited this (mostly) lunch stop several times during the COVID-19 summer of 2020. We have found it to be a reliable place (with outdoor tables) to get a satisfying lunch. Our recent visit was a good example One queues up (a short line for late lunch on a weekday), orders, pays, and takes a seat at a table in the courtyard of a small shopping complex. In spite of the wrought iron furniture, the dining area is comfortable. Each table has an umbrella and large trees shade a portion of the area.when our orders were ready, they were brought to us at the table On this occasion, both my friend and I had salads, she a garden salad, I a Greek salad, both topped with grilled salmon. The salads were standard fare. The salmon was a cut above, definitely higher quality, perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. The salads were well proportioned and we had no need for dessert or other additions My friend, who lives close by, visits often. I live a good bit farther away, but this is such a comfortable, low key setting with reliable, quality lunch choices that I will request that we meet here (again) next time we lunch together!

Great place but a single pizza takes over 30 minutes, even calling in to go. Then told another 10 minutes, offered to refund me but someone else was waiting for lunch as well so I waited. Person next to me ordered a cold sandwich and has been 40 minutes, great place but go on off hours. They did refund me. Love the place just a shame they got slammed.

It's our new regular place, and they have quite a few other regulars too. All the food I've tried is great and they do an excellent job of community building with regular music (folk mostly) and chill events. The staff are friendly and keep a clean place. As it's getting warmer, we are looking forward to enjoying their outdoor patio.

I originally thought this was just a Health Food Restaurant. But I was pleasantly surprised that they can make a High Calorie Omelette with all the ingredients I like put in !! And on top of all that, the service and atmosphere is just first rate. I will forever miss the Cross Keys Deli, but I am so glad there is now a worthy alternative !
