Swallow At The Hollow

Had dinner last night at Swallow at the Hollow. First we ordered a Guiness draft. It was poured perfectly. Nice head, the right temperature, the way it is supposed to be. For dinner I had a cup of the soup special, creamy Italian wedding soup. I've had Italian wedding soup before but never this way. Good texture, good flavor I'd order it again. Got the Philly cheesesteak which was also very good, as good as any in Baltimore. Also ordered the 🌰 onion rings which were freshly made and delicious. Crunchy on the outside warm and juicy on the inside. Will definitely be back.

Swallow is a quintessential dive bar, in the best way possible! The drinks are cheap, the food is delicious (I personally recommend the wings or cheesesteak), the service is good, and the atmosphere is nice. Its the perfect neighborhood bar/hang out spot. I can't list the number of times my friends and I have been to this great spot the past few years!

I’m going to regret writing this review, but this is the best place in Baltimore hands down. Food and service are great each time. I go far too often and have had literally every menu item- all delicious. If you like solid bar food and a nice place, check out Swallow. I only say I’ll regret writing the review because they’ve gotten so busy. I recommend them on all social media I see asking for bar recommendations. Place is always buzzing these days. Again, best place in Baltimore.

Wowwwwww, but did I get treated like a Rock Star at the Swallow!! It was this gorgeous day, I really wanted just to enjoy it, but Johnny's on Roland had absolutely SUCKED (I actually just got up and left my table, the service was so pitiful), and I was down because I didn't know where else to go. I remember the Swallow from my JHU days... and we went there for... libations. Not for grub. But Pottsi saved the day! Taking a chance on the Swallow ended up being the hands-down best choice of my 2day stay in Balto. He served me the most beautiful fish sandwich (perfectly cooked, seasoned, and as hot as the fries-- & they had malt vinegar to go with 'em), treated me with the highest respect but was also relaxed and funny, and this man gave me a couple of meeeean Orange Crushes. Which he had to educate me actually consist of orange vodka, not the bourbon I'd been having them with. Pottsi is fun, transparent, and a top-notch guy to run the bar. Until we meet again, Pot.
