Memsahib Indian Restaurant

This place is seriously a Baltimore gem. Amazing Indian lunch buffet with intricate decor and comfy sofa seating, and the friendliest service. Prices are a great deal and food is delicious. It’s right off of Lexington Market and I’m proud to bring my family & friends from outside Baltimore to come eat here. Unfortunately it’s only open for lunch on the weekdays though.

Just make sure not to eat too much (you'll definitely want to)! The lunch buffet had a wide selection of vegan options, including naan, basmati rice, salad, steamed carrots and broccoli, chana masala, samosa, sweet potato pakura, and fresh fruit. The tables are surrounded by a semi-circle of padded seating and are enclosed on separate islands that open-up into the tall ceiling of the building, creating a private dining space. The waiter was exceptionally polite (referring to me only as "my friend", for example), and there was always plenty of water on my table thanks to his efficient service. Definitely take some time to take-in the awesome decor of the restaurant as well.

The place offers great atmosphere and authentic taste of indian food. Indian person won't find it bland ;). In rush hour you may have to wait for some of their best items such as Samosa and Naan, but the staff is very friendly and fast to serve at your table if needed. There is lots of space for even big groups. The price for buffet is a little higher than usual but worth it if you are going there only on certain occasions. This has been our official lunch place whenever someone is saying goodbye.
