Chucks Trading Post

I remember when Chucks was a corner grocery where my students used to grab their pr before school chips. This new spot took that old school round the way grittiness and made it nouveau gritty. Decor aside the food was too notch! We had a large party so expected a little wait but all our food was spectacular. Steak and Eggs was cooked exactly medium and was super tender. My Redneck Skillet? Nothing redneck about it. It was downright bougie with the Nutella French toast topped with fruit! And the $3 demi tasse of espresso caramel macchiato was creamy, sweet, and had just the kick I needed. I will definitely be back.

Food was delicious and service was fast. I got the Seoul skillet and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked bork belly with flavorful kimchi with potatoes and two over easy eggs, a unique breakfast option for sure. I also got a single pancake, good flavor but fell apart once you put syrup on it. Nonetheless still 5 stars from me. And with all the mimosa flavor options we were there for quite a while. We stayed a little past close and only realized when we looked around and it was only staff there 😅 but they never made us feel rushed and we finished our mimosa while casually chatting. Definitely a new staple for my brunch list. I sadly didn't get any pics but trust me, it's amazing.

Great little place. Not on the beaten path - you wouldn't know it was there unless somone told you or you were in the area and drove down a side road! Food was very good. Had a skillet - it was fresh, hot and perfect. Potatoes were awesome. Would definitely go back myself and recommend to friends!

It was a cute, hidden gem. I liked the food a lot. The first waiter we had wasn’t friendly enough for me, but the waiter that took my order and served us was sweet as pie.. The pancakes were really good, I didn’t care too much for that jam that was served with it. I had the pimlico hash with over easy eggs! It was tasty Af!!! They also sold a lot of local beers, and produce. Which I thought was a great touch!! I would recommend and I can’t wait to go back.

Service: Our server wasn't stellar, but, thankfully; one monkey (not calling them a monkey-just a saying) doesn't stop the show, as some say. The young man/cook who brought our food was very pleasant and most of the other staff seemed to be. The steak and eggs I ordered was prepared just the rest I asked for it and served in a cast iron skillet. The pancake was very good. It's definitely an interesting little place-aesthetically pleasing.

This was the best place we ate during our recent trip to Baltimore (I'm from Baltimore). The food was delicious and creative, in totally reasonable (not overwhelming) portions. The building is kind of nondescript and near the Avenue without being on the Avenue. We were here with my dad, who can have a hard time hearing in loud places, my 5 year old, my husband and myself. Everyone was happy and well taken care of. The best part was the server, who was so warm, friendly and attentive. Hands down, the best service we had during our week long trip. We'll be back!

We had the MOST AMAZING party at Chuck's last weekend! I threw a 50th "Over the Hill" birthday party for a friend with 40 guests that traveled from all over to celebrate. We needed a private space that had charm, good food, cool staff and that felt quintisenntial Baltimore. No Marriott banquet rooms for us. We also didn't want to break the bank. Chucks delivered beyond our dreams! Working with the lovely Tracey and Grace, setting up this event was effortless and affordable. The cooks made us a delicious spread with vegan options and the fabulous bartender Kim kept the drinks flowing for our crazy crew! They even made themed drink specials for us! My guests had such a great time! They had our playlist on the awesome sound system, we did a show, had a little dancefloor, outside area for taking a breather, tables for dining , , warm atmosphere, and the staff was SO COOL! Jose is the best!!! Thank you Chuck's for making our weekend ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! Thank you Tracey, Grace, Kim, Jose and the rest of the crew!
