Captain Larry's

Great service and food! I went the previous Saturday with a friend for drinks and had a great conversation with the Bartender, Steve, so I came back the next Saturday with another friend to get dinner. Steve not only remembered my name, but my friend's name from the previous week and was more than welcoming; even though he had a good bit of customer and was by himself. My friend wanted the Fish and Chips, which was amazing, and I got the Salmon Gyro sliders (Daily Special). The sliders were cooked perfectly with fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend Captain Larry's for the food or just to grab a drink and learn some local history/tips for enjoying South Baltimore.

Any place that serves mixed drinks in a pint glass is getting highly rated. We didnt eat but all the food looked great. Fairly busy for a Wednesday night, started there for happy hour, went out for dinner and actually came back as we liked this place much more than the other two bars we tried on the street. The owner came up to us and we spoke for a while. Really nice guy, said he bought the place with his sister. Big fan of the nautical decor, especially the giant Kraken arm in the corner.

Wonderful restaurant, with really delicious crab cakes and fish tacos. We came here from Toronto while visiting friends in Baltimore. There was a problem with my credit card and the owners were so unbelievably nice about it. I just had to manually enter my PIN number (which I eventually successfully did), but the owner just kept insisting that I send him a cheque in the mail, like it was no big deal at all...all smiles and no stress. I was very touched by how nice they were about a situation were I was potentially not able to pay my bill. Top notch food and friendly, accommodating service...highly recommend.

Wednesday, Crab cake night $11 cake & a side shouldn't be missed. Soup is always homemade and tasty. Turkey sandwiches are roasted not the scary deli lunch meat stuff. There fries are always top notch. Basically, simple well done bar food. Cheap canned beer if that's your thing or a couple nice microbrews on draft. Laid back neighborhood feel with a great staff. Not a place for a Cosmo or the latest cocktail of the month. But, a great place for a beer or drink... Or several...
