The Barbecue Baltimore

I’m not sure about this place. I ordered through Grub Hub and while I wasn’t thrilled with the bbq sauce, everything else was really, really good. A few days later, I tried to order again and received a message that this restaurant doesn’t deliver to my address. Took me off guard. I don’t live in a bad neighborhood and I always tip 25% or above... So I tried just going to pick up but while on line shows them as open, there doors are locked. It’s been like this for the last few weeks.

Earnest, new, pleasant sit-down barbeque place on Greenmount in Harwood, with modern dining area in front of counter. The ribs are meaty, tender and mild with outer crust, waiting for the house spicy sauce or sweet mild sauce from outside. The pulled pork was earthy and full of taste and can be had with their "red" cole slaw, which is actually purple cabbage, or regular slaw. A couple tables out on sidewalk roped off with plants. Parking easy in front, not a parked up area, not a busy sidewalk. As a modern real urban barbecue - not that chain - and run by local family, it deserves and earns support. They deliver via Grubhubb, Yulp and Ewber (that last is not recommended by me or them.

Very cool place. Ribs and chicken were both delicious, I'll have to stop back and try the pulled pork. I thought the cole slaw was bland, but my friend said it had too much celery salt, so I guess the real answer is somewhere in the middle. Greens were pretty good though. Oh, and the homemade pork rinds were fantastic!

Outstanding experience, food was delicious, reasonably priced, and excellent customer service. They had great decor and a fast turnaround, even on 4th of July. I initially ordered off their website, only to show up and not have anything ready due their being super busy. No matter, the friendly front desk cashier quickly took my order and I got my whole slab (wet! it means with sauce, not dry) soon enough. Totally hooked on this place, best BBQ in Baltimore for sure. Call ahead for pick up orders; get there early before the cornbread and cobbler run out!
