Visiting the town looked at Google reviews for good chipshops in the area came up as Alice's 4.4 rating. Well it's now called 'In the name of Cod' after getting our order the best thing about it was the smell driving to the Marina on the way down to park up before attempting to eat it. Chips & fish was very greasy. The seagulls thought it was great. Lesson learned ask on Facebook for reviews in future.

Never Will I Eat From This Place Again!!!!
I ordered chicken goujons yesterday from here and I've had nothing but vomiting and diarrhoea from it, The food was wild greasy and not to mention they forgotten my drink 🤮

Decided to try this place tonight and it was without a doubt, the worst chippie I've ever had. The batter was drenched in grease to the point that it was pooling on the fish. The chips were soggy and floppy, and the pasties tasted like greasy cardboard.
With the Chip Stop just around the corner (it was closed tonight) I wonder how this place stays open.
So gross, I need to take a shower now.

The food in this chippy is the worst i have ever experienced in a box. The fish was so full of oil and just stuck on top of the over well done chips. When I say stuck thats just what I mean, when trying to lift the fish it fell apart and exposed to me a lovely line of bones appropriately 3/4 of an inch long.i should have trusted my nose when I walked in to the shop the place is stinking

Terrible experience a couple months back but thought I'd give it a chance to redeem itself last night. Food was awful (I dont exaggerate that) soggy partially cooked goujons, chips were stone cold and like rubber. Ended up binning the dinner and re-ordering elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered and paid for two bottles of Fanta but only got one and a carton of juice which I hate. I phoned them and they said they would phone the delivery driver as they must have got it wrong but I’ve heard nothing
