The Huntsman, Bath

This is a real English pub absolutely looked the decor and the atmosphere. Nothing was to much trouble, we asked if we could have a window seat and that was no problem for the staff. My daughter asked if she could have extra gravy and again not a problem. Would definitely go back the only downside was they charge a service charge and this a pet hate of mine ! If I wish to to tip then it should be my decision not automatically put on my bill.

A perfect pub experience, well done team👏🏽👏🏽 We were welcomed and served by a tall young man who made good recommendations on the food. I took up the unusual suggestion of sea bass risotto and I'm so glad I did. This was the best risotto I ever ate. The chefs did a fantastic job: the risotto was cooked perfectly with mussels that were soft and juicy, then topped with a delicious piece of sea bass. My partner had fish and chips which were also 10/10. The mushy peas were really nice tasting and, let's be honest, peas aren't usually a stand out feature but these were as good as they get. The atmosphere was lovely with lots of candles and fairy lights.

Such a beautiful venue, I visited with a friend for Sunday lunch. We both had roast pork and we were both in agreement that it was up there with the best we'd ever had. We were made to feel welcome from when we first arrived in the bar downstairs, before moving upstairs to take our prebooked table All the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel like a valued customer Though there is a bar downstairs, if you want to enjoy a meal it is advisable to reserve a table in advance

I had my wedding reception here on 19th August 23. The venue itself is stunning, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Jacob in particular was always on hand to help. The night was very special and I couldn’t have picked a better place to have it. I would definitely visit again and recommend them for venue hire! Really great team. Amazing atmosphere.

What a lovely place we found in Bath. Needed somewhere dog friendly and they certainly are, water and dog biscuits offered without us having to ask for anything. I had the chicken and chorizo sandwich which was very yummy. I would definitely recommend this. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is that the soap had run out in the toilet I used, otherwise I would have given full marks.
