Green Park Brasserie

We read about this lively venue on line and thought it would be worth a visit during our short stay in Bath. We went for early evening dinner. The jazz trio were already active when we arrived and we were shown a table in a slightly elevated position, not too close to the band. Our waitress arrived promptly, my wife opted for sirloin steak from the menu whilst I chose haddock. Unfortunately my dish featured rather more broccoli than I would have liked but my wife had no negativity about her steak, proclaiming it the best she’d had for many a year. Wine was reasonably priced so a good evening was enjoyed right up to when our carriage arrived. This is a very popular venue and our host was kept busy all the time we were there, catering for the constant demand for tables for two and up to a dozen or more students but no-one was turned away. Tables were moved, extra chairs located with exhausting regularity. Fascinating to watch.

We had really speedy service for the most part, slowed slightly towards the end as the night got much busier. The atmosphere was fantastic, when the live music was playing it was lovely to listen to, had to talk a little louder to each other but we wanted to come for the music so we didn't mind, when they had small breaks it was still a great atmosphere with people laughing and chatting. The staff were all lovely and checked on us. The food was fantastic, particularly the Vegan Burger. Some portions were slightly small, like the deserts, the actual burgers themselves and the Buffalo Wings but the taste was amazing.

WOW! What an experience ! The food was probably the best we've tasted since the pandemic ! (At last someone has finally got it right!!) We had three courses with the steaks as mains which melted in your mouth, the starter's & desert's were also of a high quality along with a fantastic drinks menu!! The menu is perfect as you don't have to go through pages & pages of food umming & arring on what to choose. A lot of thought has gone into the whole experience from the live music, fantastic staff who work together (not one member to so many tables!) & of course the fantastic food. Found this place on google as was looking for somewhere that played live music. For our first experience me and my partner were rather impressed. From the moment we entered the front of house team were friendly and attentive and this continued throughout. It was really nice to see how all the team worked so well together. My partner and I both had steaks and was cooked to perfection! The live music was a lovely touch, definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner at the place on a Saturday evening (it was very busy, hence I suggest that a booking is made prior to the visit). The staff was very friendly and the menu had quite a few choices. A live band was playing which made the atmosphere really good. The food was perfectly cooked and the services was very fast, despite being so busy. Overall, great experience at this place, would recommend and would definitely visit when next time in Bath.
