A very sweet little tea room above the Jane Austen Centre. The Victoria sponge was delicious and the setting was lovely. Staff are dressed in Regency dresses and the music in the background added to the ambience. A very lovely little place for tea and cake, but it's quite a few stairs to get up to!

As a vegan, I can highly recommend the tea rooms. Delicious sandwiches and the best vegan Victoria sponge I've ever had! Heads up - if you want a vegan scone you will need to book in advance.

What a wonderful place! They even have gluten free and vegan patisserie and sandwiches. Staff is costumed and very friendly. The museum - which is situated a floor below, with storey telling actors and the possibility to take a picture in a historical Jane Austin dress - was a wonderful experience. A must for all the Jane Austin or costume lovers!

Great place for tea after visiting the Jane Austen Museum. I ordered the Lady Catherine’s Proper Cream Tea with a slice of Victorian sponge cake.

I had the afternoon tea with Mr. Darcy set. It was good. A lot of food. I also liked the tea but wish the food comes out a little faster or brew the tea a bit later to avoid the weird after taste for brewing the tea leaves for a long time

Lovely afternoon tea! The scones were perfect with jam and clotted cream. The texture was good. And the tea was also good too. Like the comfortable atmosphere for the afternoon.

Enjoyed every moment. Had the Afternoon Tea with Mr. Darcy and it was awesome. Customer Service was great and atmosphere was quite fancy without being pretentious. The tea was delicious and the the scones were lovely and warm. Loved all the sandwiches. The teacakes weren't my taste, but they didn't bring down the meal. Lovely overall.

Fantastic afternoon tea with wonderful staff!
I went with a group of 8 friends for one of their 30th birthdays on Friday 1st of April 2022.
We had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff on duty that we interacted with were James and Tabby. They were absolutely brilliant and made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. Couldn't thank them enough for the experience we had!
The food was amazing too and we all enjoyed the different teas we had! I can personally recommend the spicy black chai!

The museum involved a great talk and tour and provided plenty of information. Staff were incredibly enthusiastic and match the characters of Jane Austen's novels. The shop is lovely.
My favourite was the afternoon tea. Staff made us feel very welcome, the cakes, sandwiches, scones, tea and prosecco were all delicious. The room was lovely and inviting. Really hope to do this again, fantastic day out 😊
