Good ciders and local ales. Friendly staff.
Outside space for kids to run about... it's a shame that came at the expense of the real grass but it's good in most weathers now and there is a covered area with heaters.
Pub quiz at 8pm every Sunday seems to have disappeared for now. Longing to have it back!
Update: tonight was a joy. Packed bar, fire in the corner, friends, laughs and 10.45 last orders.
2022 update. The garden is a joy. On a balmy summers evening with the local cricket team retiring for last orders. The marquee seems to be a permanent feature now so, with the sides off, there's plenty of shade in a heat wave.

I'd forgotten to make a reservation and it was a lovely day, so we sat outside at the Cross Keys and had a really delicious Sunday roast - I had the veggie option, perfect. Husband and friends had lamb, delicious.
Speedy, polite and friendly service. Great play area for the kids.
