Beale's

Fantastic food. The ribs were great. The supreme nachos, with all three meats, were very tasty. The smoked wings were just crunchy enough and full of taste. The pretzel with beer cheese was excellent. Mrs. Joey had one of the flights of beer and said all of them were great, especially the " Good Tidings." The apple cobbler a la mode was a great ending to the meal. It was so good, I forgot to take a picture before we ate it. The service was friendly, prompt and the order was 100% accurate. Joey V. says, "Check it out !"

I used to come here often when they first opened as the pot master was so good at his craft. I came back and had the taco mix- called supreme. Solid choice. Ask for the sauce as the brisket and chicken needed it. The pork one was amazing. The bartender was on point and fast and friendly. I enjoy the sense of humor they have in some of the beer creations and the political naming. It is a place I always recommend.

We were camping at Smith Mountain Lake and drove out to Bedford to find a laundromat. While we waited for our load of towels to dry, we visited Beale's. They are dog friendly outside so we ordered a couple of flights and a pretzel to share. The pretzel was served with beer cheese and mustard. I particularly enjoyed the mustard as there was a sweetness to it. My favorite beer was the Peach Tea Blonde Ale; we took a 6 pack to go. Overall, a nice place to visit with ample parking nearby. Outdoor picnic tables had umbrellas. Just wish the flies weren't so bad.

Pulled pork was excellent! I loved the side of spicy pickels and onions! My friend loved her burger and other friend loved the half rack or ribs! Ribs visibly fell off of the bone and looked amazing. The smoked wings were so crispy and I recommend the Beales dry rub! My friends enjoyed the beer and advised s great pairing of the ribs with the "Bronze". They also enjoyed the Peach tea and Peacan Pie beer. My husband wasn't too fond of the toasted coconut but others may like. The service was slightly lacking at first, we waited awhile to be seated due to no hostess in site then we waited about 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order so we just ordered our food at that time. Food came within a good time frame and everything was fine after that with refills and getting more beers. Overall a great experience in a great area and I will be back.

Called ahead to make sure that we could bring food in to enjoy and was told that food is welcome, just don’t bring alcohol. Well, that’s common sense. We come in and are seated and have our order taken and no one says a word about it. Suddenly a woman comes over as we’re dining and informs us that food is not allowed and we have to stop eating. I guess it’s good to get people in to order and then tell them opposite of what was told when calling ahead. I’d understand if we didn’t call ahead to make sure, but that wasn’t the case. Enjoy the money for the beers, we won’t be back.

Beale's is an awesome destination in downtown Bedford! They have a wide variety of tasty beers and a perfect BBQ-focused menu to accompany it. I loved the Rainbow Connection IPA, Bourbon Barrel Brunch Stout and Plumpricot. Indoor bar and table seating is spacious, and they have a beautiful outdoor area with picnic tables and umbrellas, as well as space heaters for chilly days. A small detail, the pint glasses have a great shape - they also offer tasting flights and liter mugs depending on your mood! 🍻
