Flavorful and interesting menu. My wife and I have gone back many times since our first visit and it just keeps getting better and better. We've tried everything we can on the menu and we have never been disappointed! They really got it dialed in! Our favorites are the soup- any soup they have is deeply flavorful. The more rocking pork bowl that is aptly named, the steak is top, and so is the lamb! My wife enjoys their salads and homemade dressings, and we can't get enough of their sourdough! The nacho mama's vegan cheese sauce is delicious on the seasoned potatoes and we love the juicy burgers and homemade buns- the beer cheese burger, the chili cheese burger and the bean burger are our favorites. And the desserts!!!! these kind of desserts you don't come across often.they are decadent without being overly sweet, I dig into the bread pudding or layer cakes and my wife really enjoys the cheese cake, even though it happens to be gluten free.. And when we are in the mood for pizza this is our go to spot!!!
We always plan our next trip on the way home from dining. This place is relaxed and friendly. The staff all get paid a living wage- even the kitchen staff get tipped automatically through every sale, and we think this should be a practice in every restaurant! The food is wholesome and flavorful and it is worth every cent!

Great little farm to table spot! I wish I could have ordered off the breakfast menu but I did not see any items that were gluten free. My roasted bacon chicken salad was very good. I also purchased vanilla bean syrup for home. Everyone was very pleased and super happy.

This place is an excellent, out-of-the-way, COZY joint, built within a really neat, old stone building probably from the 1900s, or even 1800s! One should eat here just to see the old fireplace in the side room...it looks like where Daniel Boone would stomp in from the cold to get some communal stew! The food was truly excellent - small menu, but made from scratch, and very good. Decent portions, but no take home for me, so not huge. Price was steep for the area, but again, scratch made and very good quality. The service was also excellent. Hope to be back!

A hidden gem of a restaurant. Wonderful farm fresh ingredients mixed into grand entrees. They local source ingredients. Farm fresh Devon beef makes a juicy burger and the fresh coleslaw is a beautiful side dish. Highly recommend this eatery.

What they do well are their pizzas, mushroom soup, charcuterie board, spinach dip, and a mushroom grilled cheese that is sadly no longer on the menu. Their desserts are good too.
But their dinner entrees have been a complete miss for us. And I say this as a regular patron of this establishment who has ordered almost every dinner entree they have toted out for the past two years.
I have no problem throwing down good money on excellent food. But it’s got to be prepared correctly to reflect the dinner prices customers are paying.
And as much as I want to give them kudos for experimenting with ingredients that are simply not found in any cuisine within a 40 mile radius of Bedford, (e.g. okonomiyaki sauce, moussaka, falafel, tzatziki, kimchi, etc.) I have to wonder how much actual first hand experience the chef has had eating/preparing these ethnic foods in their native lands and elsewhere. Because for those of us who are well traveled, it’s confusing how the flavor combinations are being used. Especially with the use of Asian ingredients, there has to be an appreciation of how they are traditionally used before attempting to make a “fusion” dish. I just don’t see that being reflected in the dinner entrees.
Tonight, I ordered the $32 smoked beef brisket—basically the price of a surf and turf meal at Red Lobster for context. And to this native Texan, the brisket came out looking and tasting like a boiled chuck roast than an actual piece of brisket. It didn’t taste like it was cooked in its own fat. It was too water logged and devoid of any juiciness that aids in flavoring and texture. Fat is flavor. This brisket was not succulent.
And the fire roasted chicken my husband ordered was bland. We mistakenly assumed it would be a spicier flavored dish because of the “fire roasted” description. That was our fault. But still, the dish and its sides didn’t live up to the $23 price.
The whole bill came out to just over $81 for two entrees and a bowl of soup split between two people. Apart from the soup, I just didn’t see the value being reflected in the other two dishes. And although I am not a fan of Red Lobster, they at least include a side salad and unlimited cheddar bay biscuits with their entrees. They are a chain restaurant and can afford to throw things like that in to keep the masses from rioting. But all the more reason Horn O Plenty must make sure their entrees are made to perfection.
I should add that our waitress was very attentive. We were glad we were in her hands tonight. But it seems to be a revolving door of wait staff every time we come in. So the quality of service has been sorely inconsistent over the past year too.
For all of these constructive criticisms, Horn O Plenty, Lifestyle, and 10/09 Kitchen are the only restaurants in town actively trying to elevate the food scene and worth patronizing. We wish you our best.

Stopped here for lunch on our way from the laurel highlands back to Philadelphia. The restaurant is about a 5 min drive off the Pa turnpike and well worth the stop. Fresh, healthy, local food and friendly, fast service. They have a nice, quiet, shaded outdoor seating area, which is where we ate with our dog. We almost didn’t stop bc of the reviews commenting about being expensive and the additional service fee. Other reviews made it sound like a sneaky added fee that you wouldn’t be aware of until you pay. Not true, a notice is posted on the front door with the reason why they charge it (to support their staff, see photo in review) and it’s really not that much extra. We were glad we stopped and happy to support this local, eco minded business!

Ordered take out while in the area— was absolutely wonderful!! Salads were perfectly portioned and the dressing was flavorful and delicious. The five cheese pizza was INCREDIBLE, as in, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Do wish the veggie pizza had been just as good— veggies looked to have been cooked separately and placed on top later, so they never really felt like a “part of the pizza,” more just haphazardly placed toppings.
Still, everything else was perfect, and the staff and owner were jovial and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back and try something new!!
