Just had today at 5pm August Bank Holiday Monday the best real Fish and Chips on the Island of Ireland at Simply Fish and Chips in Belfast.
And here's the simple reason why?
Well...it's the actual thick white piece of fish served up inside a just rightly cooked crispy-flaked batter...beside a very generous Plate of Chips... with each one as individually cut and real as the one next to it I kid you not!!
They're the two original elements that shoot SFC to No1 in my book
And just a minute too off the train from Lanyon Place there beside the quirky St George's Market in Belfast.
Or you can do what I did and wait to have the treat at the end of your day's perusal in Belfast before heading back for the Station...Southbound.

Staff are very friendly and engaging and would highly recommend popping by if in the area. Food is very tasty and well prepared both sit in and takeaway, if you get a chance try the southern fried chicken :)

Fantastic, had 2 chicken burgers and a sausage supper and everything was cooked to perfection! Best chippy I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

Went for a takeaway and noticed they had a nice little diner. We decided to eat in the food was cooked fresh and served by helpful and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend 👌

Large taco chips, sausage, Hawaiian burger and the salad box. Delicious! Really tasty food and good value for money. The taco chips were a 10/10!
Update: ordered again and it wasn't a great experience. Ordered at 5:50pm and food didn't arrive until 7:30pm. The food was cold and soggy when it arrived. I suppose with this place it depends on the time you order as the last time I ordered it was fab.

This tiny little shop was a great find! The fish was very fresh and cooked well. Only complaint is about the chips - kind of limp and didn’t taste super fresh.
