Snead's Bar-b-q

I had read online about how great this place was and just happened to stumble upon it after taking the backroads home... DEFINITELY worth seeking out!! I got the 2 choice combo with potato salad that was out of this world great and mac n cheese that was flavorful and CREAMY. the beef brisket was amazing and i enjoyed the pulled pork. i got the mild bbq sauce and it's EXCELLENT !! all in all a fantastic choice for some of the best bbq ive had in the entire midwest!

Update... tried again and the service was terrible. After waiting for an inordinate amount of time, the server finally came to our table. Then she waited on two other tables (conversing extensively with one) before submitting our order. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our meals. When we declined the appetizer, she argued with us stating that appetizers always come out at the same time as meals because "barbecue is quick. " Food was okay, but not what it used to be. We are done!! ☹️ Used to absolutely love Snead's! Went yesterday, and was pretty disappointed. They have changed their fries, mushrooms and cauliflower. Not nearly as good. In addition, the ribs were rubbery and the pecans on the bread pudding were burnt. We will give them another shot, as this is not typical for them.

Best burnt barbecue ends of my life! (They called them brownies.) Ok - they were the first one I’ve ever tried. But they were delicious! So juicy and full of flavor. I would definitely go back if I’m ever in the area again. I think they have the friendliest waitstaff I have ever encountered. Keep up the great service and food!

I try to find the positive in most of the places that we go. But for "fast service local BBQ" Not here. It was recommended by a local as good inexpensive food and great service. It took forever for us to get our food but they did us a favor by not serving it hot. I find it hard to describe the flavor of the meat because there was none. The best part of the meal was my grandson's Mac and Cheese it was pretty tasty. Not a very good accolade for a BBQ joint. Will save my efforts for real BBQ.
