Greg's Grill

This is a big beautiful space with high ceilings and tasteful decor. We sat at the bar and the bartender Jay was so kind, professional, friendly, and gave great recommendations. We appreciated the lack of judgment for the fact that we were still in our frumpy rock climbing clothes. There were great drink specials and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the sweet potato fillets as our appetizer and the roasted beet salad was delicious!

I stop by Greg’s every time I go to Bend. This time was exceptional though! Apparently, under new management. The menu is almost entirely gluten-free, tons of vegan options, and for those of you lucky enough to be able to eat anything, you’d never know the difference. Everything is absolutely phenomenal. Every staff member was warm and welcoming, not intrusive yet very attentive. Never mind that this restaurant has a phenomenal location right in old Mill District across from the amphitheater and on the water. Five + stars! See you soon

We ate here as a family of 4, and were worried it would be hard to get seated without a reservation, but they took us right away. They were even gracious about us asking to move a table because of the sunlight making the first one uncomfortable. The food was pretty good (won't knock your socks off, but decent), the server was very attentive and kind, and the building itself was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the river. We were extremely happy, and will return the next time we are in Bend.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio, which accommodates dogs. Steak prepared exactly as ordered. Good beers on tap. Lovely sitting near the Deschutes River. Hostess checked us in but did not indicate on Open Table that we arrived. I had to verify our honoring the reservation with Open Table. Our server seemed new or easily confused. We asked for tasters of a couple of beers. He returned with full pints. Luckily, we liked them. He brought our entrees and gave them to the wrong people in our party. He was quite friendly, probably just not waiter material.

After a couple weeks of traveling we knew we needed a good sit down dinner. We sat on the patio on the street side where it was less windy that day. We had the Greg’s burger and the French dip both were amazing. Like maybe the best burger we’ve ever had good. They were short staffed so the server was actually the bartender too. But he always checked on us and was so nice and friendly! Really loved our experience here and have been talking about it since.
