Jake's Diner

What you want from a diner! The food is what to be expected but HUGE! Their small omelette is 4 eggs and the large 6 eggs. Our server, Shelly was great. I had the California omelette - yumm! My one complaint was my decaf (I know, why bother) coffee came out lukewarm. That situation was rectified with a smile.

The food was good. The peppers in the home fries needed to be cooked longer. The service was very good. The portions were very good. The food was really hot which meant it was run right away. That was the most important reason I had a good time. Most places I have been to the food is delivered a tad above Luke warm. They were really busy but still I didn't wait long for my food, it was piping hot,, and the coffee and water kept coming. Excellent job. You will not be dissatisfied.

Everything is great here at this restaurant except the prices I will still give this place five stars because the food is pretty good and you do get big portions on some items. One thing I would like to see change here but I doubt it will happen is the bacon it is thin cut and in my opinion not that great in eating ability. Most restaurants of this nature have a special cut bacon for their restaurant but the bacon served at Jake's in my opinion is not very good I work in the food industry and other than that I would just like to see better bacon.

Unbelievably, had never been to Jake's. The atmosphere and look of the diner was definitely that of a "greasy spoon". It was crowded too. Everything seemed to be set up for an exciting breakfast experience. It was very full, so we sat at the front counter. We told the waitress we'd never been before, she seemed surprised. My wife ordered eggs Benedict and I got the chicken fried steak breakfast. We had coffee that was kept full and hot. The very busy staff was friendly. The food was exactly what I expected. My wife was thrilled with her eggs Benedict. Everything was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit !!

I wish I could give them 10 stars. The food, service, and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. We came in for breakfast with both our young kiddos, which is always a bit stressful, because not everyone enjoys being around kids at restaurants... which I completely understand. But, EVERYONE from the staff to the customers were amazing with our kids. The staff all chatted with them as if they were their own kids, and when our youngest threw his dinosaur toy on the ground under the table, a customer sitting near us jumped up to grab it for me, so I didn't have to crawl under the table. I was genuinely taken aback, because most people are so stand offish with each other these days, so it was a wonderful reminder that good people do still exist. And on top of all that positivity, the food is absolutely phenomenal! There's just nothing bad to say about this place. It's officially my favorite restaurant in Bend. Thank you so much for being so accommodating to our chaotic little family. We appreciate you all! ♥️
