Went here to celebrate our anniversary & while our server wasn’t the friendliest, their authentic Italian food made up for it. Everything we tried was phenomenal, especially the meatballs! Also, the ciabatta bread is made with Italian flour and didn’t hurt my gluten sensitive stomach. Win-Win!Trattoria Sbandati is probably our fav Italian restaurant splurge in Bend.

Italian restaurants can be so hit or miss that we rarely go out for Italian - as in I think we have been out for Italian food maybe 4 times in the last 5 years, including this dinner. I am a very particular person when it comes to dining out - we have been in the food service industry basically forever, so we have high expectations when we go out for a nice meal. I made a reservation for my fiancés birthday and was a little nervous based on the mixed reviews here, but I took a risk! We are so thrilled that we took the leap with this one! The tagliatelle with mushrooms and the filet entree special were both fantastic - I would eat this every day if I could (I would be as big as a house, but that’s irrelevant here 😂)! The pasta was, and I don’t use this word often when describing food - especially pasta, perfectly cooked, the texture was perfect - it’s right up there with some really nice Italian places in New York (better than 1 of them) - seriously, it is. The server was nice and friendly. I didn’t use the bathroom, so I can’t speak to that as others have. The 2 things I would suggest would be to have better by the glass wine options, the reds specifically. They aren’t terrible, but at the same time, they are not exciting and they could be soooo much better. Also, please update the menu on the website. People - do yourselves a favor and go eat some pasta and steak! 😋 I can’t wait to go back for our next date night!

Don’t let the modest appearance fool you, this is the real thing. 🇮🇹 You do not have to order multiple courses.Great wine menu and excellent location, too. Make a reservation, they fill up fast and will not seat you. If you’re with a large group, come early for a wine tasting next door. We will tell all our friends. 🍷

Trattoria Sbandati has a cozy, upscale vibe with an open view into the kitchen. The menu is highly opinionated (no substitutions please), a sign of a head chef with knowledge and confidence. The dishes are authentic. Divided into courses, you should look forward to enjoying multiple plates. Even something as simple as sauteed spinach is amazing here. Take your time and enjoy the various flavors. You won't be disappointed here.

Mama Mia! Sbandati is so F’n good at making real Italian cuisine. Seeing the same faces working there for years tells you so much about the health and wellness of a business. Besides the homemade pasta that is always cooked perfectly, the sides are always phenomenal. Specials range from amazing wild mushroom pastas for vegetarian options, to seasonal soups. What they can do with bread is truly mind blowing. Nothing like it. In a town that prides itself on small glasses and petite pours the cocktails are delicious and generous. Be patient and don’t be a jerk. This is a special place, bring your appetite for the best pasta in town and leave your belt at home!

The food was above par, absolutely spectacular. Our server Kristen is the best. She has been the only server we have had, coincidently, when dining here and she is a master of her craft! So kind, so knowledgeable of the menu. Quite honestly one of the big reasons we return. Love the food, love Kristen. Can’t wait for our next visit!
