Best in taste , excellent in variety and prices are in your budget. This place is by far the best place to have veg north Indian food in Bangalore. From their menu to their service , the taste to the variety everything is authentic and perfect. The names of the dishes are really awesome.
We ordered "US aunty wali Chaat" , "Canneda Mausi wala paratha" , "Mumbaiya pavbhaji" , "Aloo puri kheer" and "Friend is paying Thali"...They have a lot diverse menu which includes punjabi, Gujarati , Maharashtrian and Rajasthani cuisines. The kheer and parathas were mouth watering.Pavbhaji was slightly off the beat but overall other items were nice and tastey.
Food- 3.5+1/5 (+1 for their excellent menu) = 4.5/5
Ambience-3/5
Service-4/5
Value for money-5/5
If you are missing your home , Missing the flavours of your natives , visit this place, It will surely be satisfactory.

The food at Yumlok is one of the tastiest i have ever eaten. The food comprises mainly North Indian cuisine. There is not much to see in the restaurant. The ambience is pretty okay with respect to the price. They undertake delivery through multiple online portals. The food is enough for one person to fill the stomach.

Yumlok (I love the quirky name!) has a few branches across Bangalore. We visited the Marathahalli outlet recently, along with a few other foodie friends. The food didn't disappoint one bit!
Tucked away in the bylanes of Marathahalli, the eatery wasn't very difficult to find. It is a small place, with a few tables and chairs, serving a variety of all-vegetarian North Indian delicacies. This is no fine-dine place, but one with simple, functional decor. This is the sort of place that you go to when you are looking for authentic food, more than anything else.
The menu is just as quirky as the name of the eatery is, spanning a variety of starters, thalis, khichdi, stuffed pooris, parathas, and chaat, as well as a few beverages and dessert.
Here is a round-up of all that we tried out here:
Starters: We started off with a Raj Kachori, which was beautiful both in presentation and taste. It was very well done, with perfectly balanced spice and sweet levels. The Dahi Wali Paneer Tikki Chaat we opted for next was lovely too - paneer tikki made into a chaat, something I've never tried out before. Next, we ordered Mushroom Chit Chat, mushrooms fried crispy and coated with a Chinese-style sweet-and-sour sauce - this was absolutely lovely, the dish I loved the best of the lot, actually, in spite of it being a bit too spicy for my tastebuds.
Beverages: We tried out the Masala Chaas here, which was beautiful, delicately spiced, the sourness just perfect. We also sampled the Lassi and the Mango Lassi, both of which were pretty decent. I opted for Masala Cold Drink, which I loved, a soft drink pepped up with assorted spices.
Aloo Poori and Kheer combination: This was great, too. The pooris were served freshly off the stove, the potato stuffing inside delicious in taste. The kheer tasted lovely, too, chilled and toothsome.
Paneer Paratha: This was very well done, too. The stuffing was tasty, spread equally well throughout the paratha. The paratha was cooked in mustard oil, giving it a nice flavour, just perfect with the curd and pickle it was served with.
Cheese Burst Pav Bhaji: I quite liked this pav bhaji, nice and flavourful, a far cry from the sambar masala-laden bhajis that you get elsewhere in Bangalore.
Palak Daal Khichdi: This was simple but quite flavourful. It was the sort of thing I would make at home myself - soothing and comforting.
Jeera Rice with Paneer Chatpati sabzi: I loved, loved, loved the paneer sabzi, but it was way too rich and creamy for me. I would highly recommend this sabzi to everyone who loves richly made curries. The jeera rice was nice too, fluffy without being too grainy, mildly spiced, the way it should be.
Dessert: For dessert, we chose Moong Dal Halwa and Gulab Jamun. I loved the gulab jamun, perfectly soaked, served piping hot, with the hint of mawa in them. The Moong Dal Halwa I didn't fall in love with, though it definitely wasn't bad.
Prices here are quite reasonable. Service was quite fast, and the staff was very warm and friendly.
This is definitely a place I would like to visit again. I can't wait to try out all the other interesting-sounding dishes they have on the menu!

YUM LOK-(meaning yummy world) tells it all.
Located in the basement the ambience is pretty decent with a seating capacity of 40 pax.
The service is pretty fast and chef takes pride in whipping up some of the lip smacking starters, main course and desserts.
The welcome drinks tried were
Mango Lassi- damn good and refreshing
Masala Cold Drink-coke with masala added.Innovative.
The starters tried were

Punjabi French Fries Tadka Chaat- the king of chats. Loved the humble French fries in the new avatar.
Naughty Nuggets Chaat- Superb. Deep fried well, sprinkled with the right spices. The sauces were a dampener here too.

Late service always been a problem here in this restaurant. Food taste is exceptional. All dishes are yummy and tasty but even if you visit this place 10th time, you will not get improved service. Much more waiting time than what anyone can think of. Online orders can reach faster at home than dine in orders.

The negative first. The waiting time for the food inexplicably long. Now to the positives: great food, polite staff, quirky menu card, rustic and hygienic set up. Reasonably priced.

Great food at a great price given the locality. Waiting time is slightly high owing to the bulk online orders they get which itself proves the quality and taste of the food served here.
4.5/5 - Value for money
5/5 - Quality and Taste

Nice place to have North Indian Chats and foods.Food was good and they have good variety.Only drawback is service, they take longer timw than usual to serve your order

Edit- had there chole masala gobi puri combo with a gulab jamun today and I am in love with the place 5 star rating for the taste!!!!!original - Awesome place for vegetarian people. The food is tasty and little on the spicy end. Service is fast and ambiance is okay okay. Let's say it is good place to dine. Nothing too fancy. I have tried both home delivery and eating at there place. Only issue with home delivery is that they are charging more online while you can have the same at better rate if you go to their restaurant. 4.5 star if they don't charge the differential amount. When you are already Charging a delivery fee, I don't see any reason to charge more for the food
