Tavern On 12

We were curious to explore this place as we frequent 12th main Indiranagar for dinner. Given that it had just opened up and it was fairly empty around 8:30 PM, we were a little skeptical at first. The staff suggested we try the upstairs balcony (this place used to be Sunny's before and we had tried it back then) and we were pleasantly surprised to see the transformation. The ambience is true to the tavern spirit with pictures of Victorian Era Kings and Monarchs hanging all.over the place. The furniture and color scheme also scream English Pub! We got ourselves some cocktails with Punny names. The English Garden is delicious and came with a slice of cucumber on top! The English Thyme is a bit musky and herby. We were quiet amused to see Masala Peanuts on the menu and ordered that right away to feed our local spirit. For mains, we got ourselves Bangers & Mash. We werent too thrilled with the taste, the bangers weren't as banging as we expected but the mash was great and it was all so well plated. A good first time experience and if you're in the area and looking to try something new, you should check them out. The staff is very friendly and they have craft pints as well for you to try!

Quiet and calm place. Since it's new we had the place to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon. Service was really great and Deepan and Bruce Lee were really polite and friendly. They provided good recommendations and were always ready to help us out. The food and beer was brilliant. Not a fan of the sweet potatoes but that's on me.
