The Bayou

This restaurant is incredible!! We wanted to try a local spot after a trip to the casino and we are so thrilled that we did. The menu is unique and has lots of options. My husband, who is not a huge foodie, ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich... he said it was the best thing he's ever eaten. Hush puppies were amazing and so were jalapeño grits. We will definitely be taking the drive back to eat here again, delicious!!

Not impressed, but it's not bad. Ordered takeout for a family of 5. Price was about $13/person which decent. We got the gumbo, hush puppies, pierogi, smokehouse burger, and a kids cheeseburger. The size of the rice was in a sauce cup for the gumbo. Flavor was a bit lacking, but the texture was ok. Burgers tasted like they'd been sitting under a hot lamp, and the hush puppies weren't traditional, and were pretty ok- the days they came with is excellent.

My first time visiting here with a group of friends. We had a great time, the food was delicious, some dishes had more spice than we anticipated, but still very good. The only thing that was off was the chicken and waffles. The syrup on it was very different. My friend ended up getting something different. I personally enjoyed the mac and cheese with the ham and peas. I also tried the mac and cheese with the brisket. Both were delicious. My favorite dish were the pierogi's. I cannot wait to go back for that dish alone! My only complaint was how annoyed our server was with our group when we asked for separate checks. But we made sure to tip her well. I know being a server is a hard job.

This was the most amazing southern food I have ever had! We were looking for a last minute dinner place and my boyfriend’s uncle recommended this place. The food was absolutely amazing and the desserts are top tier! The Mac n cheese was so good! My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles and I had the catfish and oh my god…I was living my best life!😍 I highly recommend this place to everyone! 💕
