Europa Barbeque

Was driving by and saw this place, decided to turn around and explore. Portuguese BBQ. I love the place up in Newark, but this didn't really do much for me. It is definitely not a quick place and it is very expensive for lunch. It would be nice if they had more sampler type of meals for folks who aren't up to speed on Portuguese Food. I had the steak. It was fine. The fries tasted like crisco or shortening. The rice was from a mix (or so it seemed). Just not very exciting. The Orange Soda was the most exciting thing about the meal. And it was very good. I would go back just for that.

I'm originally from the ironbound section of Newark, NJ and always have Portuguese restaurants near by. After moving to Pennsylvania, I was having a hard time finding a Portuguese Restaurant. (I'm Portuguese)There is a Europa in Elizabeth, NJ and I seen there was one here. (Not sure if they are the same owners). I ordered picadinho today for pickup and it was so good! Definitely my go to now! Obrigada! A comida estava tão boa!

The best barbecue place i have ever been to in my life and i mean it. Love the food. Everything on the menu is a delight and specially the chorizo. The owner is a super friendly guy and he makes sure that you feel home. Been going to this place since 5 years now and it never disappointed not even for once. If you’re doing a takeout, try the meat platter, its just justice done right for the money you spent. They do have BYOB which is a plus. And their flan is a must try after dinner.
