Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

The hostess was rude and only acknowledged us after I asked her if we seat ourselves. Our waitress was a young woman, whose name escapes me, she was very friendly and helpful. Our food was prepared quickly and correctly, and our drinks were refilled promptly. My only real complaint is the smell. We were seated in the north side of the restaurant, no where near the bathrooms, but it was all I could smell. The faint odor of urine and dirty carpet filled the air. While the food was good, the odor nearly ruined my appetite.

Perkins is one of our favorite breakfast spots if we ever want to eat out for breakfast. It was mother's day and Sunday on top of that so I expected it to be busy and expected to wait a bit for a table. Once we got seated our server was extremely sweet to us and the tables around us and warned everyone it'll be about a 45 minute wait for food. She offered to fetch a light snack such as fruit, if needed. My hashbrowns were a bit cold by the time I received my food and the normal kielbasa sausage wasn't available, but nevertheless we were satisfied with our service and the rest of our food. The service we receive, whether it's the downtown or west end location, is always great. That and the food is what always keeps us coming back!

Ordered the strawberry special good but it was kid size. My wife has trouble with her knees and walks with a cane. We where shown to table way in the back of the restaurant!!!! There were many tables in the front of the restaurant that were open!! I didn’t mind walking but my wife could not enjoy her breakfast because she was in unneeded pain. Waitress was the best!
